This ever happen to you ? It did to me twice : twice when I was 12 (I was mortified and wanted to crawl into a hole). and another time when i was 19. i denied the whole and made up a lame story of why i was doing it. I am surprised it didn't happen more . That part of my life seems to be blocked out to my mother and sister.  I do want to bring it up with them at some point.

It's silly how these things are swept under the carpet in this way. They are, apparently, not serious enough to be recalled but so serious they cannot be discussed, excpet in occasional hushed tones.

My older brother would occasionally bring up things like these, usually in a crowd of boys, to embarrase me. I know my older sister sometimes use to try to have one of the hushed discussions with our mother, but was generally told to stop, when it became obvious that I was near.

We do have a rather long running thread on this very issue, which is stickied. It's quite a eye opener and shows that most have pretty similar experiences. That is somewhat conforting at least.
