I just got my first shot of T! I can't believe it.  I can't believe I managed to jab myself with a needle either.  I did it on my own cause it would have been too expensive to get it done by the doctor.  But I did it!  It wasn't too bad either.  I think it helps that I'm doing my shots sub-q, so the needle is quite small.  I froze for a few minutes before getting it in, but then I took a deep breath, and as I exhaled, I pushed it in.  I think that helped too.  But yeah, this is day 1 on T for me!

Congrats!!! Thats awesome, I give you a lot of credit for doing it yourself! Did the doctor explain how to do it? or did you have to figure it out on your own?

Jake P

Thanks! The doctor had a nurse show me how to do it when he wrote out the prescription.  So between that, and watching several videos of guys on youtube, I had a pretty good idea of what do to.

The story is the same, I've just personalized the name.

Congrats!  I'm impressed you did it yourself.  Subcutanious sounds a lot better than muscular shots.  Is there a difference in the results you get?
Oh I'm a lucky man to count on both hands the ones I love

Heh, I don't think I would have been able to do it myself if I had to do IM injections.  Those needles would freak me out.  I don't think there is much of a difference, if any at all.  I know that Bryan (puck13rocker) on youtube does subq and has had the same results as guys who do IM.  So yeah, I really like the Sub-Q versus IM, cause the needle that I use to inject is only 5/8ths of an inch long.  Thanks again everyone!

Congrats man!  I do mine IM as I haven't found enough scientific evidence supporting testosterone injections SQ, but that's great that you did your own shot.

SQ needles are generally smaller, so...  1" versus 5/8" and 21 gauge versus 25 or 27 gauge.  I'd say that's a pretty big difference.

Awesome. I just started a week ago. First shot was done by a nurse though. I will be doing mine IM.

Congrats!  The needle problem is mostly mental.  I'm glad you got over that first hurdle!
