I think I passed?

Today I was in the grocery store, and when the girl behind the counter turned to start scanning my items (she was a rocker chick) she said 'Hey man!' in greeting. I was a little shocked, and I guess I was just wondering if that meant I passed or not? I have quite a feminine face, and my voice gives me away straight away, but at the time I hadn't said anything.

It's possible she just calls everyone 'man', girls included, but then again that's not a common way to greet a girl. I just smiled and mumbled a hello, hoping she wouldn't pick up on my voice.

So what do you guys think? Did I pass?
