I remember a lot of my dreams,  I can remember 1-4 dreams I have a night and can remember doing so since I was at least 3 years old blaw blaw, but lately it seems like I have been having the same type of dream. They started happening when I moved to a whole new city.

I dream that I am out in public when all of a sudden one or all of these things happen:

- my hair grows really long
- hooped ear rings appear
- my voice is like it was before T
- I'm wearing a bra or can't find my shirt and am exposed
- get caught in a washroom when I have to go but am too afraid to sit down
- trying to have a shower but when I am in the shower and pull the curtain over there are still gaps everywhere and the walls and doors disappear

When this happens I am with people and freaking out about it and try to cut my own hair, pull out the ear rings etc. but my hair grows back or the ear rings re appear (years ago I had long hair and actually did wear hooped ear rings :-/). It seems obvious that it all comes down to me being afraid that people "see right through me" and still see a female.

Also I am 1 week post-op from top surgey and up until the day of my surgery I dreamt that I had surgery but they came out bigger.

Just wondered if anyone else has experienced the same thing?

I have a recurring dream where I'm around people who knew me pre-transition, always in very public places, but I have my body now and I'm topless, and no one noticies or cares that, y'know, bewbies.

That and rape nightmares. Never had those pre-transition.

I had dreams back in high school of walking down the main street, next to that same car wash, through the old neighborhood in a teen dress for that time and nobody noticed! I had boobs in that dream and the dress actually fit.  Other dreams back then was the usually edgy, teen angst.  Now the dreams are not as disjointed and surrealistic as a few months ago and my acceptance of my transition is actually in some of newer ones!  I actually got use to those old nightly horror flicks, "where's the popcorn?" was my attitude. These newer ones? Will I get used to these nicer ones?  Gee, someone is actually giving me a break here! 
  Try to not worry about yourself during the day. I found that stress will affect the outcome of my dreams. Overwork and lack of sleep will give you those attack dreams along with the disjointed, nonsense types. Hugs

I worried that I was still having 'male' dreams after I started transition, but things have shifted now and I am always female.  Sometimes the knowledge of my past is part of the dream and sometimes not. 

I think that dreams are just your brain sorting things out.  It just takes a while for your brain to catch up with the physical and social changes.

Thanks for sharing everyone. It is interesting to hear other stories. I just have to get used to the idea that I pass better than I think.

I frequently had the same dream starting sometime late in childhood and continuing into my 20's.

In the dream I am walking through a tunnel in the rock. It is cold and damp. Eventually I come to a large cavern and in the middle of the cavern is a high stone wall in a circle with barred windows around the wall and no doorway. As I walk up to one of the barred windows I see a slender young woman kneeling in the centre of the enclosure, her long dark hair fallen over her face and shoulders and she is weeping. But there is no door so there is nothing I can do and I walk on down another tunnel and out into the daylight and warmth feeling very sad.

The symbolism of the dream was obvious. Though I had the dream for years, it only came back once after transition/SRS and the last time, when I got to the stone wall and looked inside, the girl was gone. 

I had one dream this week, I was going to the premier of "Jennifer's Body", and as I was going in I saw Megan Fox and a group of fans. We sat together at her premier, and then we began to chat. I was close on kissing her, and she was like "No". And then we kissed again, and she slowly turned into a man with a beard growth and all. Then the movie open up, and  a few security guards came to the area, and ask if we were agents, and I said no. Then it was just a rambling dream afterward.
