Im getting a heart with a rose stem wrapped around it: with a note in the middle of the heart ..which a sword will be in the heart and the handle on the sword will be jesus on the cross...... The note will say "love me for everything im not" it simbolizes god created and imperfect heart and he loves me why cant you..

its taken me a while to think of one what i actually know i want to get, because i dont just jump on things like tattoos since i know i might regret it later. but i'm planning on getting this on my back between my shoulder blades (for now, tho location could change)
it's the older emblem of Oldsmobile cars. Oldsmobiles are my favourite cars, i have such a passion for them. I'm thinking i'll get this after i get top surgery, for a sort of celebration, and, well if im getting it on my back id have to wait for top surgery anyways X3

i'd hope to get some more eventually too. A few ideas in mind right now include Anubis, something dog-related, eye of horus, and another car one with maybe a actual car or part of a car integrated into it (maybe even have to do with The Road Warrior, or have that written out next to it X3 i love that movie lol). I'd like to think up one to do with my fiancee, but for some reason he's dead set about me ever getting a tattoo with his name or something =( i think it has to do with something superstitious wise, ill have to ask again.

I currently have two. A "tramp stamp" octopus holding a diving tank (I'm a SCUBA diver, and octopi are awesome), and a blue pawprint with an eye in it on my left hand side, under my unfortunate lumps. I have quite a few more planned, such as leopard print along the side of my foot, a biohazard symbol somewhere, another pawprint, but in red on the opposite side of my body, a random eye somewhere and the male symbol somewhere discreet.

I've got a laughing coyote on my left shoulder, a celtic scroll thingy on my right, and this emerald sun-alien-eye thingy on my chest:

Tattoos over boniness hurt a lot! It helped that the tattooist was a very cute 22 year old Italian.

If I can find a really good tattooist, there's an otter by a Kwakiutl artist that I'd really like as a tattoo (I've been trying to get hold of him for permission, not proving easy). I'd really like this on my inner forearms (a mirror pair, in green instead of red):

I have lots of tattoos from my life of trying to conform to a male role. A cobra on each shoulder blade, a dragon on my right calf, writing originally on my pecs but now breasts as per my avatar which I have had laser treatment on to remove. Plus 8 others on my arms which I hate of various designs, hearts, ships, glamour girls etc all very male orientated or as my son calls them sailor tattoos.

I have had some work on them towards removal but they got infected during the healing process so now I have even uglier scarring.

Not sure what to do about them now, whether to continue to try and get them removed, which will be very costly and it may not remove the ink all together or get them covered over with more feminine tattoos. Whatever I decide it will have to wait until well after my SRS.

I love my tattoos. I have 5 actually (see below) and still have a few more to get (I want to get one to celebrate my trans self, my buddhist self, my geek self and a few more). *ALL* of mine are self designed and inked by Jacqueline at Yonge Street Tattoos (awesome work). I'm looking at getting a few more: one to celebrate my transition once I have top surgery (a zipper across my chest) and one to celebrate my long dis.tance cycling endeavours (a "grease" chain mark on my calf)

^^My Zodiacs: fiery Aries and Metal Dog (these were my first tattoos)

^^My family crest and motto. I turned the crest into a shield and the hilt of the sword highlights the Acadian Cross.^^

^^My namesake, Linus Van Pelt, of the Peanuts characters. The toy horse symbolizes my child-like attitude while the helmet highlights my desire to continue chivalrous and honest attitude.

^^The Canadian leaf shield represents my nationality while the torn Acadian flag represents my heritage and the tumult history they've had and fought for (without weapons).

^^This was in remembrance of my mom who was killed by her estranged b/f in 1992. The White Ribbon represents the violence against women and the dates are her birth year and year of death. The Lyric, Michele, Ma Belle, is from the Beatles' song, Michele. The Beatles (and Paul McCartney in particular) were a favourite of hers. The frog is a symbol of what she collected, a parody of the term "french frog" (she was a translator and saw irony in it). The quill highlights her writing and her translation.

I swear, I've posted this very story in this forum at least twice. XD

This is my tattoo. The pic was taken like, two days after I got it which is why I look all gross and scaly.

If you are familiar with runes, then you probably recognize the symbol.
My personal story about my tattoo has very deep meaning for me. A long time ago, I was dating a guy who was very interested in reading runes and he had his own set and book that translated them. One day I told him that I wanted to consult the runes about a problem, but refused to tell him what that problem was so he wouldn't interpret the runes differently.
My problem was that I am transgendered, and the guy I was dating was not supportive of my transitioning. So I asked the runes if I should sacrifice myself and not transition, or if I should just go ahead and do it without worrying what this guy thought. That rune was the one that was drawn.
It is Dagaz, which means "day". By checking all sorts of sites and books the most common translation for this rune is "dramatic change" or "leaving behind darkness to enter the light of day". Stuff like that. I took this as a great sign, and decided that it meant for me to transition. I had always been told that you took what the runes said and interpreted their meanings yourself. When I finally told my ex what I asked the runes, he furiously demanded that you don't just interpret for yourself and that the rune actually means "waiting". It was funny.

i would really like some tattoos representing my favorite book watership down, maybe a really masculine rabbit (not cutesy) and i want my favorite quote across my upper chest

Rock_chick

The black rabbit would make an awesome tattoo dude. Especially if it was shaded so it kind of faded away like it does in the film

I have a dragon tattoo on my right arm. :D  I didn't feel it during the process, but afterwards it hurt horribly. xD

I'm going to get one with my dog's name soon...'cause she's my first pet and my kid and my life. xD

Congrats Christy, try not to get addicted lol.

I've got six, I don't want to monopolize the page with them though.

First one I ever got was this tiny, goofy looking little skull. I was piss-terrified so it's not detailed at all but I love him. We call him Mr.Bojangles and it's a custom whenever I pass out to draw a different hat on him. Second one, my favorite, is "Live Before You Die" on the inside of my left forearm. It's a quote from a Social Distortion song that changed my life, so I got it where I'd see it constantly to remind me to live every possible second. Third is a bust-up portrait of a zombie pinup girl I drew, 20th birthday gift to myself. Fourth is a biohazard symbol with my initial and my two best friend's in it on my right wrist and it's one of the most painful things I ever sat through. Worth it, though. These are the people that've pulled me back so many times.

The last two are...really ridiculous but I love them. I've got "Release the Kraken" in script down my right hip and (this is SO stupid) 5 sperm in a circle with initials on them. There's a huge long story behind that one. These last two are stupid, I'll openly admit it, but I got them because-for me- they're like permanent reminders of two points in my life where things were beyond good. I'll look at those in 20 years, shake my head and laugh. IMO, life is to damn short. Not many people see my hip or my ass, so it's not like I'm going to get fired for them. It's more for me personally. And it's hilarious to show off to new people.

I've got a dolphin, greek letters and a Taz tattoo.  I want "something Irish" and another dolphin and probably a couple others that I haven't completely figured out yet.
Our biograhies are our own and we need to accept our own diversity without being ashamed that we're somehow not trans enough.

Rock_chick

well I've got 3 until the end of the month when I'll be getting another one. so far I've got a dragon on my shoulders, two space invaders on my left arm and a star on the underside of my right wrist. I'm having the space invaders surrounded by stars on the 23rd. After that i have definite plans for another 5, after that who knows, 9 is a pretty decent number of tattoos, but once you've crossed the line of having visible ink you (which i have) you tend not to worry too much about getting more.

When I got my third tattoo, the guy doing it said I officially qualified as a collector (anything over 2).  :)
