ive been building upto this for a few days now and i finally sent her the letter i had written.
we started talking and she seems supportive, but just as we got talking she had a visitor turn up at the house.
our talk got stopped and i just gave her a hug and told her i loved her, and left it there.
i know shes gonna need time, i feel so much better or telling her, but honestly the waiting is horrible.

The waiting is difficult, it's true.  But you've just taken the very important first step, and that's an unbelievably HUGE accomplishment.  Congratulations to you!!

You won't believe the difference being out makes - it doesn't make it go away, but at least you're no longer hiding who you are.

well 2 days in and things are going well, not telling rest of the family for a while but mum knows, which is a huge weight off my sholders. managed to tell her before therapy started too which will make things easier in the future 

That's great - and I'm really enjoying this wave of people recently (myself included) who have told family and got a more positive response than they expected - it's very heartening, and encouraging to others too xx

I'm extremely happy knowing you are loved and accepted exactly as you are by your mom.
