I havent checked in a while but the last time I looked into the ebook option i found that the books available for free weren't worth my time. Any books i thought i might have wanted to read cost close to the same amount of money to go out and buy a new soft cover.

I'm game for tech stuff but the publishers are leary of ebooks it seems becuase it could turn out to be another flop for profits much like what happened to music. Once music went digital CD sales dropped horribly.

The Kindle 3 is a very nice piece of hardware.
I borrowed a Kindle 2 from my library and became quite attached to it.
I have friends who own Kindle 3's.

But...

My library has e-lending of books through the OverDrive company.
You can't borrow these e-books on a Kindle.

See: Devices that are incompatible with OverDrive

the first e-book I've finished is Frankenstein, or the Post-Modern Prometheus :)  I'm currently reading several more, all at the same time, I flit between them as the mood takes me :)
