Well I'm off to Montreal later today :) It was such a fiasco getting my passport that I wasn't able to totally process everything, but finally earlier this week I got it. Talk about last minute. I work pretty much all day every day so this will be a sort of vacation as well. I was nervous for awhile but now I'm just more excited than nervous. Surgery will be Tuesday. Thanks to all of the Brassard girls for all of your info I can't begin to say how much it helped :)

Hope you made it ok.  I had two layovers when i went and i took me two days to get there because DIA had tornados and i missed my connecting flights obviously lol.    You'll love the staff and the care, and the house is beautiful.  The food is first class as well!!  It's amazing to be in an environment of complete understanding and care, that exists in Montreal.  Best of luck and don't worry, you're in good hands!!!

Thanks everyone it means alot :) The staff here are totally excellent and u guys are right the food isn't bad lol! It's like a rock star staff here, and the boys are so charming and cute ;) After going through so much electrolysis without pain meds I thought I had a pretty good tolerance for pain, but it turns out I'm having a pretty hard time of it and still heavily medicated. Hopefully that will change after the stent and catheter are taken out. I couldn't have asked for a better roomate (and her companions) in the hospital though, they kept me laughing through the pain :) Melody: I'm trying to learn but my knowledge is pretty basic. Janet: I never thought I'd hear you say that to me :) Fairy: thanks so much sweetie. Frances: I don't but I got pretty lucky with the people i've met and the staff is amazing. Audrey: I can still remember when you went off for surgery cuz I knew I was going with Dr B by then and it filled me with hope. I had to get a direct flight (1 hr 15 mins)...all the others were like 4-5 hrs. Valerie thanks so much, Kristyn, Andrew, Suigeneris THNX!

Congratulations!  welcome to womanhood.
Isn't it crazy the friendships that you make there.  Going through the experience together really cements a bond.  I still keep in touch with friends I made there.

Pain wise. Staying on top of the pain is key, without letting it go for so long until it becomes unbearable.  It does get much better when the stent is out, trust me!

Happy healing and send my love to all the wonderful staff!!   :-*

Congratulations Mija!  I hope it all went well for you.  I'll be arriving in Montreal tomorrow with surgery on Wednesday so I'll learn all about the place.
