Hey guys, I've been lurking this forum for a while, but I just signed up today. So uh. . . hi.

My chest has been bothering me more and more lately. I have this cloth sewn together that I use as a sorta-binder, but it doesn't work all that well. I'd love to buy a real one,  and I'm not out to anyone, so if my parents found out I'd be completely screwed. I'm planning on ordering a Tri-top from Underworks, and I'm wondering, is there anything on the box that would suggest what it is or where it came from? I really don't want my parents to see anything on the box that would lead to an interrogation. And then there's the whole problem if they noticed my chest got flatter. I only plan on wearing it when they're not around, but still.

They come in an oversized envelop ... nothing really saying who sent it to you.

As for getting flatter -- just tell them you are wearing sports bras cause you don't like your stuff bouncing -thats if they even notice.

Underworks stuff comes in envelopes. I got my tri top in the mail today (I'm underage, but I ordered it without my parents finding out and it came in the mail when they weren't home.)

When I bought mine some years ago, they came in very small bubblewrapped envelopes. The packaging itself was very discreet and in description was written "t-shirt" Dunno how are they shipping the items now but since they are professional people I suppose they will keep the things discreet.
So... no need to worry man

I was worried about this when I ordered my first binder too (but more about nosy post office ladies than my mom )
It says the company name in tiny type on the sender info sticker, but that's it. I doubt anyone would know that Underworks sells binders, too..you could just say it was underwear or whatever on the small chance your parents saw the evidence.

Like Rob said, just tell them it's a type of sports bra if they ask or see it in the wash. Most parents won't think 'it's a breast binder! My child must have gender dysphoria and want to mutilate their genitals!'...that's just not where people automatically go.

I ordered my binder from Underworks as well, without permission to get a binder but to buy a "t-shirt", and it was shipped in an oversized manilla folder-type package and the address sticker said "Simple Solutions" not Underworks.

The only thing I have to warn is that on the plastic around the binder, there was a sticker that read "Compression shirt" - this may raise questions, but you could easily say it's something like a sports bra.

You could say its for posture or something.

My parents are so nosy about the mail that even if I got a 'T-shirt' in the mail they would want to see it. This is why I intend to have the delivery sent to a friend's house when I get enough money to buy one. I don't know if this is possible for you because you said you weren't out to anyone- but if you could out to one of the friends you trust the most it might be easier than dealing with suspicious parents and avoiding an interrogation. Just a suggestion. 

Animosity, I have the same question.  I just ordered my first binder, and I was worried about what it might say.  Reading this stuff makes me feel better. 

I told them that I was ordering a graphing calculator so if any package comes in the mail to give it to me.

Same here. I had mine shipped to my best friend's house that I practically live at, my mom knows I'm out but my dad doesn't. I actually didn't know what the hell it was at first (because it was in my friend's name), so yeah it definitely doesn't declare what it is in bright bold letters.

I told my mom it was a new tank top I ordered online for outdoorsy stuff (it has that rough material). But what's funny is, most transguys slouch so much anyways that the chest fat (don't make me say it) doesn't show that well. So a binder means you slouch less with the same flat-chestedness probably  My mom didn't notice until I told her about it months later, and she looked at my chest and told me it didn't work at all. I proceeded to tell her that all I had on was a t-shirt (was true!).

People already mentioned the packaging. It's not flashy or anything.

I live separately from my parents, but they see me in a binder quite often.  If they or anyone else has ever noticed that I'm flat, they've never mentioned it.  However, I tend to wear several layers, so my chest is more hidden most of the time anyways.  My mother washed it once when I was visiting, and she just asked me if I needed "the undershirt" for that day.  If anyone asks, it wouldn't be hard at all to explain it as an undershirt or sports bra. 

Thanks for the replies, everyone. I feel a lot better about ordering one now. Unfortunately I'll have to wait a week or so to actually buy it; I don't have enough money quite yet. . .
