Ok, so I am full time, and even though I have been on hormones for a year I only have mesquito bites. I can't seem to find a bra that fits, mainly because I'm a bigger band size and not even an A cup yet. What can I do?

I'm worried about getting measured because they might clock me or something. Maybe I can just get my band measured, then pick a random cup size and stuff it? Will that work?

Thanks!

two ways.  Go get measured and damn being outed.  Or do the band size, cup guess.  You can also go with breast forms, or do the knee high rice/bird seed trick.

Go to One Hanes Place, click on Bras, then use their Bra Finder on the left of the page.  There were at least three selections in 40A and two in both 42A and 44A.

Yea, they make bras in pretty much every conceivable size, you may have to search a bit. Serious bras dealers shouldn't give you grief even if the realize you're not a g-girl. It's their livelihood. I went the mail order route on my first couple of bras and after the first bad fit, figured my size out quickly enough.

I find bralettes work better for the small bust. These are often stretchy and actually touch you everywhere even if you're very small. I use inexpensive "cutlet" silicon pads to bring myself up to an A cup. And I try to wear looks that express femininity in other ways then the bust. This is the same thing small g-girls do (most every model in a fashion mag is nearly flat chested, you know).

Plenty of sexy women with your A size. I have 20 bras, 3 sets of forms and have real B cups now. Just depends on how feel what wear. From larger forms/bra no foam cup to small forms with cup and my adapted bra that pulls up to max push up. Just experiment with what you have and confidence is VIP over size.

Just rock up to a specialist female underwear shop and ask to be measured . I did when I wasn't FT but presenting as female with my falsies in place.  She didn't bat an eyelid. She then took me around the store and showed me bras that would fit and I tried them on. Even warned me about not buying push ups etc, as I had nothing to push and falsies don't push. I think you will find that the female concern with her breasts is such that the bra fitters have seen and heard everything, and really don't care and are trained not to be rude.  Can you imagine "Geez they're tiny" or "Oh my god they're the biggest tits I've ever seen". Probably end of career statements.

Just be confident, which I think we all know is Rule #1-#infinity.

You can also ask your female friends/family to help you. That's what I do, it still is awkword, but I find it much less of a problem then to go to a store.

I second what Cindy said. I just walked into a specialist lingerie dealer,  when there was no one else around and said I was in transition, and needed a bra fitting.  No problem at all. I am now a regular customer.

If you want to measure you can do it yourself. There are plenty of videos and articles on the internent that help  If you want to be buy a measuring tape I could guide you. Measure right under the bust, where the band goes and write down that number. If the number is even add 4 inches, if odd add 5. For example if it measures 30", you are a 34" band size. If it measures 41", you are a 46" band size. Next measure your bust (fullest part of breast usually at nipples) find that measurement and subtract FIRST band size measurement. The cup size is inch difference between band and bra. An A cup is an 1 inch difference, B cup is 2" and etc. For example if you measured your bust as 40" and your band as 38" BEFORE adding 4 or 5" then you would be a B cup.

I am a 34C because my band size measurement is 30" (adding 4" gives me a 34) and my bust is 33". Cup size is C because (33" - 30" =3" difference)

With transwomen it can often be difficult because sometimes chests curve upwards in bone structure and may have a bigger difference in bust size to band size because of purely muscle and bones. Some transwoman with no visible breasts could be a 40B or 32D because of differences so always allow room for variables. If you need further help you can google how to measure bra size and use a measuring tape if you are not comfortable getting fitted by others. =)
