Ryan Sallans began his transition from Female to Male (FTM) in 2005 and over the years has explored various areas of his gender identity, at times leaning to the extreme side of the gender continuum, but now has settled into a place that he feels doesn't need to be defined. Since Ryan's journey began, he has documented every step. He wanted to share with others in the transgender community and give them someone to turn to during their own self-realizations. In addition to blogging and keeping a public diary, Ryan videotaped and photographed the changes he went through during each stage of testosterone therapy and surgeries. His story was shown on the LOGO network's documentary Gender Rebel and he has appeared twice on Larry King Live.

Ryan's talk will be held at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) in Kenan Hall Room 1111, on Wednesday, April 13th at 7:00pm.

The building is marked as "KE" and is in the lower left corner of the map.

This event is part of UNCW PRIDE's Spring PRIDE Week, and is FREE and open to the public.
