So my first binder was handed down from a friend of mine, and is just not doing what it should anymore...
It was a pullover and I really liked it, but now its time for a new one. What are your guy's opinions on the velcro vs.
the short and long pullovers? In all honesty I have no clue what size I am in the chest, but i'm guessing i'm about medium.
Here's what i'm looking at:

I have the first one but in white. (http://www.lesloveboat.com/shop/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=Sports+Pullover+Short+Binder&x=0&y=0 third one down)

I'm about a 34 b (I think I've never worn a bra) and it is amazing. Its way more comfy then my underworks. I was hanging out with this other trans guy and he said it was amazing how flat it got me. Said he couldn't even tell I had a chest. If you'd like I can post a picture for you so you can see how it binds. Just let me know and I'll snap a quick pic for ya.

I have the tri-top but I'm due for a new one and I'm trying to decide between buying another tri-top or buying the one you said you have.  I'm about the same size as you, so just wondering if you feel like this one binds better than the tri-top...if that's the one you have.

Even though my chest isn't huge, I always feel like I'm not flat enough, so I'm of course looking for whatever will bind the best.

I don't have the tri top. I have the longer one, not sure what its called. But I hated the longer one.
Sorry though. Wish I could help with that. I'll try to post a pic later if that would help.

It's ok man, just wondering.  I have the longer one also and hate it. Think I'm going to go with the loveboat one, since everyone always mentions how comfortable they are.

i have the sports pullover in white and while it is amazingly comfortable i'd say it doesn't flatten as much as the tri top does, but it redistributes everything nicely if that makes sense, when the tri top just squeezes and squishes and leaves weird lumps. the high performance binder - i have the short version of it and it binds really well but i had to get the shoulder straps shortened and i heard of one other guy with the same problem. the 2nd link you posted....while i don't own this binder it looks similar to another double binder i got which doesn't bind well at all.

are you sure you want a long binder though? i found the long binders with velcro to be rather weird,,,,,because the velcro is only where the binding section is, and often times you'll have an opening right under the velcro section

yeah, it can look weird, like here:

Putting the "fun" in "dysfunctional"

Ya I was kind of skeptical about the velcro ones.
The one I have now is a long pullover and I love it, so I guess i'm looking for
something that is similar. And yeah Brent, if you could take a couple pics that would be awesome.
Also whats the comfort level for that first binder as far as sports go? I'm very active and am constantly moving
around and am in need of a binder that will stay in place and allow me to move about.

I've had a velcro binder before (it was T-Kingdom, though, not a Loveboat) and I would not recommend them. In my experience, they don't bind anywhere near as well as the pullovers. The only advantage they have is that you can take them off much easier if they start to get uncomfortable. They might be good for swimming or working out on account of their adjustability, but for day to day binding with the greatest effect, a pullover is certainly the way to go.

I'm hearing rather a lot of good things about these loveboat binders, think I might have to look at investing in one when my current one wears out...

that has nothing to do with the velcro actually. the t-kingdom binders are just made of a material that's sort of too 'giving'. if the high performance velcro long binder has the same binding power as the short model, it will definitely be a lot more flattening than the sports pullover and the air7 pullover (just assuming about the air7 because i bought double binders with four star strength ratings before and they were way too giving and i would only give them like 1-2 stars for strength)

edit: unless of course you were trying to say that the t-kingdom pullover binders are stronger than their velcro binders?

Alright cool, thanks guys. I'll definitely be going with the pullover!
