My van has been in the shop for over two weeks. I asked my superviser for a ride sense he lives close to my house. I felt strange at first because he knows that I am trans. But that all left me when I realized that he is really okay with me. I told him that sometimes I worry about what people think. He said that is something that I should not do. Life is to short to care what others think about me. I also asked about loosing in the future because of my transitianing. He said that gender is covered under our personal guide lines. I plan to start wearing more girlly things to work. OH YEAh, He lets me use the office bathroom because I have truble going to the mens room at work. There are no women that work there just men. He knows that I have a fear of getting big arms from lifting hevy things so he keeps me working in one area that I like and has kind of made me overseer of it. You never know who will except you for who you are. I hope to be more open at work and in public all I have to say is I do exist and people need to know it.

That sounds really good news laineyjain.  Sounds as if the company has a policy and your supervisor knows and agrees with it.

Great :-*

I hear that, so well.

But since is generally does, perhaps we should all try to take your supervisor's advice and not worry about it. Life's too short.

I recall, reading once, that Paul McCartney wrote Maxwell's Silver Hammer about this.
