Jo-Anne Carolyn

Hi...my name is Jo-Anne and I am a married ,just recently retired, and live in Eastern Canada........I was in a macho profession for 31 years, all the while carrying a big secret...all my life I felt female......Just four years ago I faced what  was not facing me back in the mirror....internally a girl.....told my wife about my inner self, and to my shock she said..."Well, at last,I've been waiting for you to come to terms.I have always known that you are a girl " She is fine with it.and it allows me to react in private to this new experience...hope I can make some new friends here...                              Jo-Anne

Hi Jo-Anne, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 6200 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister. :icon_hug:

And be sure to check out these links ( MUST READS )

It is nice that your wife is understanding.  So many are not.

Hugs and Love,
Janet

Hi Jo-Anne, nice to meet you! Have you pinched yourself to make sure you're not dreaming? Sounds perfect except for waiting so long, now you have to make up for lost time! Hugs, Tracey

Welcome Jo-Anne.

It's great you've such an understanding and supporting wife, count your blessings girl.

I think a lot of the MTF had a manly/macho profession in the past.( in an earlier life I was a plumber)
Nobody wants to be the strange duck in the pond, so with a manly profession you can hide what you really are and nobody is asking questions, it's quite safe, but, you can't keep the mask on all your life.

A new life will start for you and you've got friends worldwide now to support you together with your wife.

I wish you a smooth transition and a lot of happiness.

hugs
Annette

Hi Jo-Anne  :icon_wave:

Welcome to the family. I think quite a lot of us have been hiding for far too many years. When the woman in you wants to come out, there is no stopping her.  ;D

As Annette has rightly said, you now have a lot of friends from all over the world who will support you. I am so glad that your wife is so supportive. You are such a lucky lucky girl!

All the best with you transition. Keep us up to date with the progress.

Huggs

Your wife sounds like an awesome person, have you told her about Susan's? Maybe she would get something out of reading and posting in the Significant Other area? :)
