It is realy easy to just take a break and do other stuff, forget about the hole teansthing and grow a massive beard in a few days. At the long run though it makes you feel horrible. I just had my legal namechange so I can't go back and it would be harder to take a break. Maybe you can also do something to make the hole process seem iriversable.
