So, today things improved considerably, and I went from being flat broke and running out of food and insulin to having $1500. Wot a bonus! I was able to sell off things I didn't need anymore and get a cushion of cash under me. I went right out and got groceries.
The man I live with, Doug, was so happy. Doug does not know I am TS. I'm certainly not about to tell him. I've lived with him 8 months or so now. We are both out of work, and that's been going on for a while now.
He wanted me to come here and stay with him when I was back in Alabama working on a horse ranch and having a very hard time of it. He wanted to take care of me.. he said. Now it's me taking care of him.
It was starting to get really tough here, until today, when I got a call out of the blue and it was someone wanting to buy what I had to sell, and I went from abject poverty to having money again, and hope. Now I have money to live on while I look for work, instead of starving while I look for work, with my cell phone cut off and no gas to drive anywhere on. I can pay my car insurance too.
All in all a pretty good day.
