i'm curious. i hear alot of threads of mtf talking about how they'll still have stereotypically "masculine" interests even though they're full time, on hrt, and all that. is it the same for some ftm? do you have "feminine" interests that you didn't force yourself to give up. if so, what are they? i've found that it's pretty much impossible to just be male or just be female. whether or not people admit it.

uhm...hmm, I don't think I ever did anything that girly to be honest...what constitutes a feminine interest? Looking around my room, gonna have to say no.

i don't think i have any feminine interests that are too rare in men (i mean i don't mind shopping for clothes but my brother likes it much more than i do), but i could give you a looong list of stereotypically male interests that bore me to death.......action movies, cars, soccer and any kind of sports that involves a ball, video games, ...i mean seriously, i slow down and take a look at oldtimer cars and bikes just because i feel some sort of pressure to pretend interest  :icon_redface:

oh there's one feminine interest! i love to bake! especially layered cakes and cupcakes.

I like musical theatre. I'm not sure if that's stereotypically feminine interest or not, but I think girls are more into musical theatre then guys.

beyond shopping, spending your time in the kitchen, and being conscious of your appearance- what counts as 'feminine'?
I played with dolls as a kid and patch my clothes if they rip, but I can't think of anything else that I actually enjoyed..

do you have "feminine" interests

Like law, medicine or becoming Secretary of State?  Like your career, your investments, and retirement plan?  Like winning Olympic gold medals, or racing at Indy like Danica Patrick?  I bet my feminine interests are pretty much in sych with one of my favorite women, so that would be my career, good guitars, hot clothes (preferably in black leather), sold-out concerts, and pussy.  Just like Joan Jett.
FIGHT APATHY!, or don't...

THIS. I think I may even paint them more often now than I did before. Shades of blue and purple and green. And ofcourse black. Right now my nails are red and black on one hand and blue, purple and white on the other, but I did that for Day of Silence.

I don't think I have any feminine interests. I thought maybe my love for cats would be considered feminine but I love big cats too. Cats are like my spirit animal and they call to me, and big cats can be masculine. I am actually interested in cars, as well as photography, traveling, camping, the outdoors, nature, art, music, writing, ancient history, science fiction, all could apply to a man so I'm not worried.

I like to crochet, and act and sing and do musical theatre.

I knit. And I love fashion! Uhm... I think I watch TV that is geared more towards women as well. Other than that I don't think so.

I like gardening but my friend says that isn;t feminine enough because it involves digging and sometimes hard labor.

I dance in my pink pointe shoes lol  and collect ballet performance dvds.

Sam-

i can't think of anything too feminine besides some tv shows i watch.. pretty little liars being the main one. my favorite band is tegan and sara, which is hugely popular with lesbians as i'm sure a lot of you know.
besides that nothing is really coming to mind. when i was little i played with barbies and i carried my cabbage patch doll around religiously. but i did typical 'boy' activities too. i don't think childhood fun really is gendered though.

it's open to interpretation. i hear lots of mtf and cisgendered females alike that admit to having a bit of a masculine side. males, i don't think i ever heard them admit to something like that, but obviously there are some ftm on here that don't try to stay in a masculine shell.

I like to look fresh, so i love shopping for clothes. thats about the extent of it, that i can think of.

I love crafts of all types and some of those fall into the traditionally feminine category...sewing, beading, scrapbooking, designing fashions.  Although now that I think about it, there's lots of guys who are fashion designers.

I also collect My Little Ponies but there's other guys out there that do that too and with the new My Little Pony show that's come out this year, huge numbers of guys have become fans.

I do like shopping.  It's like therapy for me.  And I like cooking but there's lots of chefs/cooks that are guys.

Some of my interests that lean more toward the traditionally masculine...video games, programming, sword-fighting.  What can I say, I'm a geek.  8)

I have an equal amount of hobbies associated with both sexes I think. My more 'feminine' ones would be crocheting, beading and making jewelery, and making all kinds of desserts.

I like the new My Little Pony show, but so does all the other guys in class. I read a lot, some consider that feminine (currently reading: Perumov's sequel to the LoTR trilogy, the Dresden Files books, Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser). I like to play video games, but not shooters and übermasculine stuff like Gears of War. I like comic books as well, and some anime and manga.

I dunno if my interests are manly or not.
...that fey-looking freak kid with too many books and too much bodily fat
