My nails have thinned out without any polish on them.  I got psoriasis of the nail anyways that causes them to grow ridges.  My dermatologist said there is not much to do than to take medicine that will dampen your immune system and catch every bug in existence!

Holy old post, Batman!

I remember those days when my nails were good.  Now, post HRT, they have gone to pot.  Every time I pick up a guitar I put on some clear nail polish, and that does help protect them.  Plus, I have found that taking Biotin twice a day also helps, and it is good for your hair as well.

I have the same problem. Three and a half months into HRT and my nails have become thin and break for nothing. I have tried nail hardeners etc. but nothing seems to work. Sorry, I have no idea what to do anymore.
