Well things just keep going for bad to worse. Apparantly this group of so-called "friends" I thought I had made in the last 3 1/2 years here in town only brought me into their circle (on Nov 27, 2007 when I met them) to make fun of me on the internet behind my back, under screen names I wouldn't associate with them. They did so because I went to high school with one of these people, and I remember seeing him in the halls but we never spoke. So he's been the ring leader this whole time, having everyone use me for a huge laugh and to live out a continuation of my school years (you can see how that went in the thread about being bullied) because I've always been known as the biggest joke in the world. It's just so hilarious to them that I'm not thin & beautiful & slutty like a girl is supposed to be. This whole time it's been a joke about what I look like. They don't even know I identify as trans but they hate me and make fun of me for appearing transgendered. Uh, ya think!? Of course I dress like a guy because I feel that's what I am! Why is that so god damned funny?!?!? Well now I have texts from this ->-bleeped-<- - tons of them - filled with insults about my weight, looks, and gender and even one where he claims to be a better looking "man-lady" than me. And then of course there's all the immature bull->-bleeped-<- about how they could kick my ass, how any of them could totally destroy me and so on. And then saying I bring all the hate on myself looking the way I do. Is that true?!? Do we bring the hate on ourselves by not fulfilling the gender roles we're assigned at birth?!?! I'd like to think not!!! So I don't know what to do. I've been tempted to file a report on it for harassment and a hate crime but I'm from the streets so I consider that a bitch move, I'd rather settle it with fists but they've admitted they're not about to go to jail so they won't step to me. (They just want to act like I'm afraid to step to them.) And yet at the same time they say that they can hit me and beat me up but if I hit them back even once it'll be me who goes to jail so they can't wait to "destroy me". And it's all over what I look like, and always has been, because I'm not fulfilling my gender role as a girl, because I'm not thin & concerned with being a cum dumpster, because I always valued myself as more than that. And the SAD thing - we're all over 30 here!!!! Seriously what would you guys do? I'm just fuming in anger, hoping they show up so I can throw on these MMA gloves and bust their faces in, and THEN have them arrested for coming onto my property with the intention to harm me and yelling hate crime with the texts he's sent me as proof. 

Well I have to wait for tomorrow morning to call tracfone and see if they can either block his number or change mine for free. I also have to try to get my job site assignment changed because I do NOT want to work in their neighborhood where they live and find my tires slashed and windows broken out of my car at the end of the day.

I left my home town after I graduated and didn't move back for 35 years.

I've tried to leave before, when I was younger. Went to a few cities and never made it because I wasn't thin or pretty enough to be hired there either. I've never had a steady job. I just get real short term things once in a blue moon.

Yeah, I think that's a huge deal.  From my own experience and watching my kids friends, in order to grow up you really need to move away and do it.  People who stay in place after high school seem to stay in high school forever, like those roles were permanently cast.  Or, more to the point, you never really get a chance to reinvent yourself.

And once they decide they don't like you (which no doubt goes back further than the obvious gender deal) then they find reasons.  The reasons don't matter, they just provide subtext.

I think you're absolutely right there. That's why small towns are so full of stupid ->-bleeped-<-s, for lack of a better term. I'm too angry to think. You're absolutely right there as well. No reasonable adult acts like that. Threats, insults, hate speech. They're trash.

Adults have better things to do, they may or may not like you, that does not really matter.  Hell I meet at least hundred people a week, only a few of which I like, but all of which I can work with for a day (which is pretty much the deal - one night only), but I'd never let it get in the way of business, nor would I ever want (or have enough time time too) give out threats, hate or insults.

Dude your better than them and you know it so don't let them get you down. Use that anger and sadness to push you to planning and push you towards your goal to get out of there. *hug* It does get better and, while I don't think anything can happen if you put your mind to it, many things can happen if you put your mind to it.

They're idiots who obviously have their own insecurities. If anything pity them for the fact that they are so immature because later on in life when you've got things together they will probably still be pathetic people without true friends and no real life.

Hey man first off I'm really sorry that those idiots are being that way to you. No one deserves to be treated the way you are. 

First off if they're making real violent threats to you actually stating they want to physically harm you, I'd say go to the cops and file harassment charges against them.  If you report something to the police then it's documented and that goes along way in prosecution.  Even if they're not arrested right then it will be documented and they will be notified by police to leave you alone.  If they don't, they then will be arrested.

But if people who rat in your neighborhood, are hurt then don't go to the cops.

Now if you choose not to go to the cops; since they're acting like children, I'd say treat them like children.  You know that age old advice about just ignoring it and it will go away?  That's what I'd suggest and then I'd say kick it up a notch.  Firstly, the real reason why they're being this way to you is not because they don't like you; it's because they want to hurt you. 

I don't know how you react to them usually but I'd say act like whatever they do, doesn't bother you.  If this guys texts you something mean; just text him back "lol". If he texts you back something meaner come back with a "lmao. ur such a loser. this is the best u have to do with ur life? ur pathetic. lmao."

Call them pathetic. Call them losers. Don't overly curse at them; that'll show they got you angry.  Act like what they're doing to you is amusing.  Laugh at them. If a girl calls you out for "looking like a guy" tell her at least I don't look like a "herpes ridden hooker" or something like that. 

Also after a few months I'd stop texting them back. It will show them that they've bored YOU and now YOU'VE moved on.

Just act like you don't care and if they see they can't hurt you; they'll move on to someone else. It might take a few months, it might take a year, but eventually they should give up.

That being said if, those are the kind of people that will esculate their actions to property damage/destruction or even physical harm; I'd say don't do anything that I said and just go to the cops now because after a while they might get bored with the cyber-bullying and start wrecking your stuff and if you go to the cops now; then there's already that record of them on file. 

I guess it all depends what kind of place you live in.  Since I don't know where you live, I don't know what to tell you about that.  If you don't mind me asking, where do you live?  If you don't feel comfortable with a city, state thing; could you just say which state.  I only ask because I've read some of you posts and never heard of people being so downright mean and violent to other people on a daily basis and often have asked myself "God, where does this guy live?  " I also never heard of a state that needed you to change your sex before you change your name.

I live in West Virginia, and it truly is hell. I suppose there once was a time when it wasn't so bad, but in the last 20 years or so, all these rich people who can't cut it to get to the top of the totem pole in their home area have all been flocking here where they can be a big fish in a small pond and rule with an iron fist. So it's turned this place to ->-bleeped-<-, everybody's got an attitude that they're so great, locals and transplants alike.
