Rising from the dead, parting of the sea, God speaking through a burning bush then etching some rules into stone tablets, a couple of fish and a loaf of bread feeding thousands.  And lots more.  But we never see that anymore.

Can someone please explain why today we never get the kind of miracle we got back in Biblical times?
When you judge others, you do not define them, you define yourself.

Because it never happened.

Back in the days before science folks took whatever explaination the shaman gave them for fact.

Old timey witchdoctors making up stories to impress the tribe. There is where your miracles come from....
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

Mythbusters exists today and it did not exist back then...

Hang on... Are you saying the what is written in the Bible is BS?

And why haven't the people who believe natural disasters are God's way of punishing sinners (homosexuals come to mind) said the recent rash of deadly tornadoes in the Bible Belt is God's way of punishing those people.  You know those people, the ones who thrust the Bible into your face as justification for their bigotry.  Maybe God is trying to tell them something.
When you judge others, you do not define them, you define yourself.

because peoples beliefs now only cover what can be proved with hard fact, and therefore since the majority of the planets population believes that metaphysical things cannot happen, then it is very rare for them to. And when they do, people try to brush it off on that it was a fluke, or luck, or related to something else. Once the collective population comes together to jointly transcend this dimension we will evolve into the 5th dimension and thus be able to do anything because we do not have the ego to tell us that things are not possible because they cannot be explained.

Kia Ora,

::) Have you heard of  Chinese whispers where over time the truth is stretched until it begins to sound religulous? Mix all this with a good dose of  gullibility & superstition which was running rampant back then...

Metaphysical things can happen, but then they're not exactly metaphysical anymore.  Think of subatomic particles disappearing and then reappearing instantaneously somewhere else.  Think of wormholes that can take you to another place and time altogether.  Think of taking off on a long high speed journey only to return far in the future.  Could these not all be considered metaphysical, yet completely possible, happenings?

Brush up on the holographic universe model. It is a clear indicator as to how the multi-verse (parallel universes) is a non-physical (so metaphysical) connection to what could have been and is somewhere else, it is just our perspective of the hologram was different at the time that the 2 paths of time split off in their separate directions.

As far a sub atomic particles like electrons... the holographic universe model also has a way to explain why valence electrons can only be caught in certain locations in proximity to the nucleus. I cannot recall it off hand as it is rather technical.

But I never said that metaphysical things don't happen... The most certainly DO happen. My days are consumed with exploring the metaphysical realm, projecting my consciousness into the astral, reading auras, transforming my light body to manipulate mater in the physical plane. All metaphysics.

:) We are on the same page. Don't worry.

The wave function at certain locations form a standing wave.  These are the only stable locations for electrons to chill out.

Returning this thread to it's original topic:  Why are there no miracles today?

Because there are more people than there were before and the Flying Spaghetti Monster only has so many noodly appendages to go around.

They didn't.

It's all fairytales and BS that people have been stupid enough to kill one another over.
Haha. Well done.

Miracles happen all the time, they are just no longer attributed to "god".

Kia Ora,

::)  With all the scientific evidence floating around that dispute lots of miracle claims, it's a miracle that some people still believe in miracles ;)

There will be miracles for as long as science has not adequately explained any phenomena in existence since that is mostly what a miracle is. I believe in them because I know that all things have not been adequately explained by science.

I for certain do...
There is a reason why I am still alive. My most recent suicide attempt that I illustrated in my youtube vid, should have killed me. It was a miracle that I lived, so therefore I make it my sole purpose to pay the universe back for keeping me alive and use my life to make the world the best, safest and most beautiful place it can be.

Put the pieces together...

1) Got drunk in the intent to jump off the highway over pass and left my car with only a light sweatshirt on and -10 degree Fahrenheit temperatures.
2) Pass out on the sidewalk 1 mile from my car a block away from the overpass.
3) Lay there bare hand, and headed, unconcious for 8 HOURS.
4) Some how wake up even though I should have already been dead. (Falling asleep in that kind of cold can easily kill you)
5) Manage to figure out what was going on, nothing made sense, I thought I was dead, I felt nothing, all I could do was see.
6) I spent a long time starting at the snow bank between me and the street, and knew the only way to live was to get over it.
7) some how figure out how to get limbs that I could not feel to move (much much harder than you would think) as it took probably 15 to 20 minutes to climb over the snow bank.
8) crawl into the middle of the street (sun was just rising so even though I was in all black, I was spotted by a driver and not run over)
9) My blood alcohol was .34 when I arrived at the hospital ER.
10) Spent 2 days in the ER, It took me a few hours to learn how to stand and walk all over again. Nothing moved like it used to.

That is a miracle ladies and gentlemen.
