A professor in Oklahoma is being terminated effective May 31, 2011, because her transgender status "offends" the Baptist President. It is my understanding the school is public, not religiously affiliated, and the President and possibly Vice-President are forcing her to quite. The tenure board has all highly recommended her for tenure and she is highly commended and recognized for her teaching.
