Boy wears skirt to school in protest against 'discrimination'

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/education/educationnews/8504552/Boy-wears-skirt-to-school-in-protest-against-discrimination.html

A 12-year-old boy has worn a skirt to school in protest against ''discriminatory'' rules which ban boys from wearing shorts.

....

''The issue creeps up during the summer months.

''Ultimately the boys can wear a skirt to school because it doesn't say they can't in the uniform policy and we would be discriminating against them if we did not allow it.

its funny how they state twice when the shorts where and banned and who were consulted before the decision, but never why they banned them.

QuoteI know he wants to go into politics and has got strong principles - so maybe Parliament is not the best place for him.''

I rather like this headmaster.

Good for him! It's no wonder children have little respect for adults with a  ridiculous rule like this.

Wonder what their policy on Skorts  is?

Oh jeez, guys at my school wear skirts almost all the time. Now I have no idea why, but it doesn't seem to phase anyone.
