Wow... Sometimes when it comes to the transphobia and stereotypes we transpeople have to battle, the worst offenders can be our GL allies who haven't taken the time to get their 101 on or don't care to do so.

No greater example of what I talking about is this Pam's House Blend post with a comment thread that Kat critiqued over at ENDAblog  in a post entitled "regurgitating every transphobic trope over the last 40 years".

That's the major reason that I am not a member of my local GLBT.  I am doing well on my "Friends and Family" plan, thank you.  I do get along with my L friends though.  I seem to not get 'straight' with my situation with the G and B types for some reason!

The local LGBT in Spokane, Washington is awesome. My IRL trans support group had folded due to lack of funds for a proper meeting space and the local LGBT center gave us space free of charge and they have included us (those of us who wanted too) in their projects and causes.
It is in the LGBT regional and national levels that you find the real issues.
So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

Classic examples of what happens when a microphone for a "10 seconds of national fame" source gets too close to an otherwise intelligent and tolerable individual.  Open mic moments that embarass just about everybody, except the poor boob making the statements since they are drunk out of their minds with TV station call letters in front of them!!
I refuse to have a war of wits with a half armed opponent!!

Wiser now about Post Op reality!!
