So, about a month or so ago I started taking Fenugreek and Saw Palmetto for breast growth... It seems to be working, but I wanna know if it's asafe option...

Has anyone else tried these herbs? Is it safe to take this stuff on a daily basis?

I did the herbal thing for about a year because I couldn't start HRT right away... I did get some results, but nothing that could compare with an actual HRT program

Like anything you take into your body, you don't want to go overboard with it because there is the risk of liver damage

I don't take the herbal capsules anymore but I do drink an herbal tea called "Bustea" which contains many of the herbs, but that is mostly because I developed a taste for it (It tastes kinda like maple syrup)

Warning, prepare for a generic-like response~ XD

Nu, herbs are bad.  Not so much, herbs are bad, but herbs aren't good.  You see, the issue is that when you work with drugs, manufacturers try to replicate a pattern for consistant product results, so that their product is reliable.  That's what gives them their reputation, so that's how they'll work to sell their product.
When herbal sources work, they instead emphasize that the plant is healthy and natural.  Their reputation is that they have a functional product that is as natural as possible.  However, like humans, or any creature for that matter, plant structure can be a little inconsistent in its development.  Even carefully honed, plants won't grow the exact same way every time.  It's just how living things are.
What this means is that herbs are inconsistent.  Debatably it might be dangerous, but I personally have not really heard anything in terms of how breast treatment medication can go wrong.  The under/over -shooting can be problematic, and can disturb results, though.

I tried those herbs plus two others for a year.  Those, with massage helped a little with the breasts and some thinning of the body hair for about 3 months.  It plateaued for a few months more and then the testosterone came back with a vengeance.  The Saw palmetto actually jacked-up my TSH and PSA readings over the top limits.  The herbs did nothing to quell my GID angst and actually made my libedo too high.  What a fine mess that those herbs made with my health!
Herbs vary with potency with the crop growing conditions and they are not regulated.  There may also be chemicals made in those herbs according of the seasonal and soil conditions that may be detrimental to your health or transitioning into a woman.  Fenugreek does have the ability to increase lactation in nursing mothers and cause breast enlargement in SOME men.
It is safe to most people to take these you mentioned, however with my experience, see your doctor and get the real McCoy!  If you are on HRT, don't take these!  The phyto-estrogens in these herbs will inhibit the effects of the HRT!   Also stay away from the bovine (or other) ovary pills!   Even the regulated prescription drug Premarin, a conjugated estrogen from pregnant mare's urine, has had problems with some of the TS women.

Phyto estrogens only work if you are a potted plant, and the wasted money is better spent on bus fare to somewhere where there is a Dr. who can help you.

Yes, the cost of all of those herbal quack pills was twice the cost of my full HRT regimen!  I got those herbal pills from a mail order from a chain that sells locally and got them cheaper plus free postage!  Still cost more.

I quit taking them...

My mom is mad because when I started taking them, she went online and ordered a big box of the crap!! Now I refuse to take them and she is pissed... I didn't ask her to buy the stuff so I dont feel bad...

Ashley,
At least your mom cares!  Judging by your profile, you are still a minor.  That's why the doctors will not prescribe the HRT.  You'll need to see a therapist first.  The therapist may recommend a doctor that will treat GID patients.  The herbal 'Guru' that I subscribed to last year didn't want to work with minors as well.  Stay off of that stuff!  There's other things going on in your young body other than your gonads the these herbs may affect!
Check with your closest GLBT chapter, find their "recommendations" page through their T page, or e-mail them.  My chapter lists the GID friendly doctors and therapists and whether or not they accept non-insured patients.

I've been to counselers and therapists... Noone wants to sign off on anything even though a kid at my school is on hrt!! There isn't a local glbt group as far as I know...

Asley,
They didn't sign off on anything because you may have not give them enough information, nor did they like your answers to their questions (try complete sentences).  Ashley, you must be honest with yourself and to your counselors!  Find out if the your classmate has a counselor and which one that is.  If it was one of your counselors, You need to be more honest, from YOUR heart and not from something you read or heard!
My therapist, an Psychiatrist, back in the 70's did not know much about GID (Transexualism at that time) and I detected it and did not give the proper answers because I was scared due to my shyness and fear of a wrong answer.  You don't want to wait until age 58 for action on this!
