I am eagerly waiting for my operation (51 days), seriously can't wait! Dreaming of getting this discomfort away and being able to not worry about it (although I am pretty good with it), being able to be with my boyfriend completely and one step closer to being more me.

How does it feel? It should feel different, quite drastically, what's the emotional feeling after surgery? what is the physical feeling? I am sure it is hard to describe, but can anyone try?

Does it feel different inside too? As it's not just an outside change.

It feels right. I think that's the best way to describe it. I for sure look different, even before getting my hair on.

Some things don't change. I'm still an analytical thinker. Still called on to provide insights to a Navy client and to tackle some 'special' writing tasks.

I still focus sharply, sometimes to my husband's chagrin. He occasionally reminds me that I'm flunking recess.

Can't tell you anything about sex, I'm afraid. Too old.

But is life good? Yes, life is good.

How can one ever be too old for sex?  I suspect you are winding us up because that's got to be the most ridiculously funny thing I've heard in a long while.

I would try to answer but the trouble is, after nearly 30 years post surgery I can't really remember all that clearly what the before was like. All I can say is that when I awoke I felt as if I was clean for the first time in my life, and after I was healed the sex was (and indeed still is) amazing too.

Yes it does feel different inside. The thing is, my feeling will be different to yours - so really you will just have to wait and see what it feels like for you.

Hi Myself

The feeling of discomfort and the worry of it being there will go away after the operation and the worrying aspect  will diminish very quickly.  Patience is the key here and as you said you only have less than two months and given time you will be able to eventually become one with your boyfriend.

How does it feel?

The most natural and wonderful feeling I have ever known.

What's the emotional feeling after surgery?

After I woke up from my surgery the second time and I looked down, I sensed I was finally free of the burden that had haunted me for so long, what I saw looked and felt natural and as I drifted back of to sleep, I felt a calmness descend all over me that I had never known before.

What is the physical feeling?

The physical sense feels right, especially when it comes to making love.

Does it feel different inside too?

The inside feeling feels right also, but this is hard because I did not have the knowledge that I have now and it has been over 20 years ago since I had my surgery and I really can not remember much in that sense.  Although thinking about it my body felt all right except for certain parts, but I was comfortable.  When I knew I was a female after an epiphany, I did everything I could so that I could function as a normal female in society.
