Am I here?

Well here I am finally arrived in my new home in Dawlish. And I went to register with a GP so I can get the ball rolling with getting referred to the local GIC, but... they require not only proof of identity, but proof that I live here. The first is easy, but the second is really frustrating, as my landlord pays the utility bills, so I have nothing to show that this is my true address, yet.

Ah well, at least I've got more hair, freshly hennaed (and no books behind me, for a change...) :).

What about a copy of your tenancy agreement?

Btw, you have really cute dimples. :)

Heh, thanks :).

I've asked for a copy of the tenancy agreement but haven't been given it yet - if it doesn't show up tomorrow I'll drive over to the letting agents for it.

Cute pic, Padma.

Maybe send a letter to yourself.  Post marked to your address might work.

Thanks for the flattery, folks :) - they're very choosy about what counts as proof of address: bank statement, council tax bill, utilities bill. I might get away with the tenancy agreement, but it has to be something sent by someone else official.

Now I'm just wondering why my head always tilts the same way in photos? ??? It makes me look like Margaret Thatcher talking down to her opponents :(.

If they don't accept a tenancy agreement, they're being stupid and unreasonable, just go elsewhere. There's got to be more than one GP practice in your area?
