but... if your looks don't pass incredibly well and your looking for other ways to help "appear male" then maybe just chill out and people watch at a busy place like a mall or food place. Note: Please don't look like you are checking these guys out if you are not in a very accepting area just casually watch because I don't want a homophobe to think you're checking them out and have you get hurt.

The nod is a great one. I remember going through a drive-through with my mom and an officer walked by and gave me the nod so she was like "why did that cop just nod at you?"  I was just like.... it's a guy thing mom you wouldn't get it but it was hilarious.

General advice: Women tend to walk with their head and hips while guys tend to walk with their crotch. No, this does not mean walking around while doing the pelvic thrust. It just means they tend to have a lower stance, usually walk with more authority, and are confident.

Kinda like your centered from your crotch. That's always how I hear it refered to as. I understand why but I can't seem to figure out how to explain it very well.

The way I heard the crotch thing explained was "Imagine you're being pulled by a string attached to your crotch as you walk." Try not to overdo it though XD

Hahahah that sounds awful. I just tried doing that, and don't think I could ever master it. I have never noticed men walking like that. If anything I walk with my shoulders.

This. You know how Spongebob brings it around town? While reading this topic I kept visualizing random people bringing it around town as they walk.

Is the crotch thing a "center of gravity" type idea?

I sort of tried this out earlier today. I was paying attention to how I was walking and standing and such (partly because I overanalyze how I stand sometimes, and I'm still working out a good walk that gives me good balance and demonstrates my confidence) and thought back to this thread and tried to apply it.

When you walk pay attention to how you're walking in the hip/crotch area -- if you walk "with your hips" you can almost imagine your center of gravity right there and they tend to move a little more, but if you walk "with your crotch" and imagine your center of gravity lower your hips tend to move less. Walking "with your crotch" also seems more laid back and confident, to me at least. Then get a little casual shoulder movement in there and you can get a good, confident swagger without coming across as cocky and overcompensating. Does that make sense? A little "visualizing" of the center of gravity when walking might be necessary to try it out if anyone's looking to.
