Many moons ago, before I knew about transitioning, I was married. And, many moons ago, because I could'nt do the 'let's have a family' stuff, I was divorced. My ex and I remained friends. In 2003, when I started my transition, I told him, and he has always done his best to be supportive. At the same time, he has'nt seen me since 2003. So, I sent him some recent pics, and I just got this message back.
"Thanks for the pics of your new look. You look really, really great."
Sometimes those we care about really come through. Made my day.
