Warning May Be Graphic Description (I will try my best without being so... graphic)

So, this has been a question on my mind for a long time. I don't know if it's normal, or if it's just a weird way my body developed. Anyway, it has to do with the whole... not male parts below the deck. Haha, I think I'm going to have a little too much fun making metaphors and lame jokes where none should be. It simply my embarrassment speaking. Oh, and before anyone says or suggests, my previous doctor is no longer my doctor due to him being weird and moving practices a lot, now he teaches or something. I'm currently seeking a new one as money persists.

We all learned in elementary school about the anatomy of the sexual organs. Females generally have two holes. We all know what those are. Well here's the thing. I noticed, a while back, that the urethra hole is... weird. There is the vagina hole, and around it going up are the like... the small tissue lips, or whatever, I don't remember all the specific names and I don't really have the urge to look it up. This is awkward and hard enough to describe. They come up to a point, like a nub of sorts. It'd be so much easier if I could like... draw this, but that's just weird. More so then describing.

Continuing. So the point of the skin, it moves and what not. But the urethra open is actually not within the meeting, or dip of those pieces of skin but above it. Where the urethra hole is, you can see like the indention where if I were to have a full pledge penis, that would be that urethra, and if you spread the big... erm, lips, you can pretty much see the track from the urethra opening, the indention where the urethra would have shaped up to my mini penis.

Now, is this normal? Because it always seems really off to me, compared to pictures and studies I've done in the past. But I've never closely looked at any other women's lower parts to figure that out, so I never really knew.

Wow, sorry this is so awkward.

I'm having a hard time trying to picture what you are describing.  If you don't want to draw a whole picture maybe you could just draw on a diagram.  Maybe try looking at close up porn.

To put it in retrospect, I can pee standing up without any effort as long as a move the flabs away. I have no idea if this helps, it's really hard to explain. But from diagrams and from what I've studied (I've studied branches of medicine in a special High School program), the urethra opening is usually in that section of tissue right above the vagina opening. And mine is actually, above it, pointing outward. Like... up toward the clit. Where the penis would've formed the urethra. If you move the flabs, basically, you can see the like... half of what would've have been a tube that would create the urethra on a penis if it had formed.

Does that make sense? I'm trying my best. I've also tried the porn approach haha

my best guess is chunks of the hymen, unless talking about labia minora, and if not that makes the (three) of us who are confused. :P
Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur. Happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr, purr, purr.

Your urethra placement looks normal to me. My urethra is basically at the base of the clit (where it is in your drawing), so if I spread em, I can pee standing up too.   I think the mini lips you're talking about is just your hymen.

People who are assigned female at birth pee standing by doing what you explained.

No no. XD I don't think anyone really understands what I am saying.

Graphic Link If you see here, the urethra opening. The skin doesn't do that. The skin comes up like that, then there is a spot where the big urethra hole is supposed to be. But that's not where it is. You have to actually look on the opposite side of it. It's almost covered up by the skin that would be the urethra opening. It's literally the size of a pin prick, and is almost directly in line going upward. (If you google and look a real human you might see it better). And where the skin is filled apart and goes up to the clit. In that empty space that is supposed to be just kind of flat. You can can see thin ribs that look like a chute. Like you cut a tube more then in half. Like I can literally tell where my body could've formed the male urethra length.

This is more complicated to explain then I figure it would be. I'm really starting to think it isn't normal, the more I try to see diagrams and try to figure out how to explain it better.

So where you're urethra opening is, imagine that just being like connective tissue( It is NOT the hymen), and at the base of it, right in view as you look now. A very very small pin prick.

This post made me examine myself in my bathroom...result, mine looks nothing like normal. :O It's in a completely different spot. Oh I don't like this topic, now I'm freaking confused. Mine is so not where it's supposed to be...

I am still so confused as to what you mean. Perhaps make two diagrams to show the difference?

Haha, don't freak. It's not really a big deal if everything works fine. Shouldn't really matter, I was just curious if the placement of mine was normal. Because I remember thinking up explanation for why I am trans, and looking at myself, and realizing weird "what if"s. So I just thought I'd try asking other people

To the OP and others who are concerned:

Everyone's anatomy is different.  Unless it is causing you discomfort (trouble urinating, pain or tenderness, inflammation, etc), variation is normal.  If you are having problems, please make an appointment with your physician.  *I'm not a doctor.*

patkane

I have something kind of like that. I went to a doctor on my college and she said it was normal as long as it wasn't hurting or happening after something like a surgery.
  •

PandaValentine

I do the same, with the 'why I'm trans' looking for explanations, or proof that my body wasn't meant to be how it is and something screwed up. So far I say I got a lot of evidence on my side that things aren't exactly 'typical'.

This is going to bother me though until I figure out exactly what you meant. I think I've reread this entire thing 10 times and I'm still not getting it. Just when I think I understand everything scrambles and makes less sense.

This. You could look at 10 diff real life hoohoos and they'd all look different; even the look or placement of the urethra.  Mine doesn't look exactly like any drawing I've seen.

Hi guys,
interesting looking in from the other side of the track, so to speak.
When we (MtF) go for our conversion, urethra placement is one most important issue.
If done sloppy, wrong placement, what happens is you wee on clit and all sprays like a garden-sprinkler. VERY inconvenient to say the least.
Yes, in male anatomy urethra is clearly placed more forward to make connection to INSIDE of penis (clit with plumping :-)
So, if a bit more forward or not, in original female configuration, there is a range of "normal" so long no garden-sprayer effect is present when having normal squat down wee.
If you use finger and pull urethra forward and keep labia minora (inner lips) out of the way, with practice can do stand up pee, why not.
BUT, it takes SOME practice to aim the jet right clean past a zip-up fly!
You tell me.
Yeah, it sucks I understand, and we (MtF) are having that marvellous hose-pipe and now get rid of it. How odd? But life just has so many surprises.
Take care dude,
Axelle

I don't understand what you are trying to explain either lol. I tried picturing it and got nothing :P
But mine is like the diagram, the 2 holes are very close together within the labia minora, and I can not pee standing up because the placement of my urethra is so low.
Gender expression is NOT gender identity.

Defective Catastrophe.

Actually, when I pee sitting down. It does usually kind of spray everywhere. I pee upwards, the only thing that keeps it going more of a downward angle is the labia.

I'm not sure how else to explain it. I've tried my best, haha, sorry.

I'm having trouble picturing this. So, unfortunately, I don't think I can help much.
But uh, everybody's anatomy is different. So I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I'm pretty sure I'm understand what he's saying.  I edited his "graphic" image to show where I think he's saying his urethra is at.
http://i53.tinypic.com/15frkg7.jpg

And I do think that's probably and odd placement to have it above those inner lip type things.   I understand how there probably is a little variation, for example, my urethra is lower, almost inside my vagina.  but it is still below those inner lip type things.  I would think that it would be pretty odd to have them above.

(I looked it up and those inner lip things are called "labia minora".)

YES! Haha! That's exactly it. It doesn't look so... obvious. It's kind of at the crease where the lips and the skin touch, but that's pretty much the exact placement. Thanks John Alex!

OK, looked at your diagram. Interesting to note top part looks like first step MtF result I've seen when mentioned about "spraying".
Of course (sorry to say?) rest looks like best "MtF conversion" I ever seen LOL. Sorry, but is true.

If thinking about phalopasty some time down the road you may have small head start (pun intended) also if size and clit being "freed" as in pic is correct.

So, if you ask me... not so bad for your FtM departure.
Wish lots of luck.
