So I had my top surgery  :D My surgeon was Mr Yelland, a UK surgeon. I experienced very little pain to be honest and I was surprised how quickly afterwards I could move about and get changed. I got my drains out the next day, the nurses were impressed by how little were in them and so was my surgeon so he said after they came out I could go home and by that point I was sick of being in bed so was very glad to go home.

Can't wait till the dressings come off! I so badly want to see my new chest.

Congrats on the new chest! Glad to hear everything went well.

Congrats, I've only seen one result from Yelland, but it was so impressive that I'm saving up for him and not for Dai Davies.

Ryan

Nathan: Glad it went well! Yelland is an option for me so I'd be interested to hear about the experience and such.
Greg: Could you possibly PM me the link to the result you've seen?

@Nathan: That's awesome! Glad to hear it went well :D hope the big reveal goes well too :)

@Greg: as Ryan has already asked, could you possibly link me to the result you've seen? I'm looking into UK surgeons, and it'd be really helpful if you could :)

I was going to save up and go to Garramone but I wanted to find a UK surgeon that I was happy with so I could get it on the NHS. In the end I contacted Yellands secretary and she sent me a couple of before and after photos and I was very impressed. If the PCT had not agreed to fund the sugery I would have saved up to go to him.

Went for my post op check up with Mr Yelland today. He took all the dressings off which hurt way more then any post op pain I felt, it didn't help that I have a bit of chest hair so when he pulled off the big plaster thing he took some of that with it ::) He was happy with the way everything was healing, he took the staples out from around my nipples which didn't hurt much at all, they bled a little when he removed them which is apparently a good sign, it means they have blood supply. So everythings going well, I have a small dressing covering my nipples but he said in a couple of days I can take that off and that's it, so expect pics in a few days   ;D

Hey, congrats on the surgery! ;D

* is trying really hard not to be envious

Looking forward to seeing the pics :) FWIW, I found a UK surgeon here in Leeds that's worked with both men *and* women, private and NHS too. I may well be his first FTM patient, though...
