Hi I just wanted to introduce myself to everyone. I am a gay woman, who is an Allie  to all trans. I have been in the gay world for over 33 years, and I have had many discussions about transgender and transsexuals. Last week I entered a civil union with a special lady who is a transgender. She is the most special person that I have ever met. Her name is Sandy.

Just to let you know, June is my husband.  We were just married in a Civil Union in Chicago.  We were one of the first couples to get our license when the law went into effect last week.

I don't really want to speak too much for June on her behalf, because she is quite capable of speaking for herself.  As I hope you will soon see.

But, while she considered herself butch, as our relationship grew, she came to recognize that she was more FTM than butch lesbian.  So our relationship is oddly "straight".

Oh dear, even my head is spinning.  I can hardly expect anyone else being able to follow what I just said!

Regardless, though, I love her dearly and she is a loving, tender, and sweet husband.

She is my knight in shining armor and she has swept me off my feet.
