"MTFs" have fetishized what a female is and want to be that bizarre, grotesque, and actually male image that men have designed for women. But the appearance of women claiming to be men took a lot longer to appear and was even more of a shock.

"FTMs" are self-hating females who mistakenly think they are rare in hating or feeling uncomfortable in their female bodies. But who wouldn't, after going through being exposed to the horrific grotesque media images of objectified plastic women from when we are born, as well as all of us suffering some form of sexual assault?

Don't you just love how some people try to mask their prejudice through the guise of being erudite?

I guess that old and annoyingly misandric bat has all the answers to what a transsexual is even though she hasn't experienced the thoughts or emotions or feelings of one. Her article sounds incredibly stupid.

She doesn't seem able to grasp the incredibly simple concept that FtM's aren't women wanting to become men, they're men wanting to become themselves.

I don't think I've ever seen so many gender stereotypes in a single article.  I'm curious as to how she knows that ALL men have bad intentions.  I doubt she personally knows every man on the planet (including MtF's she incorrectly calls men).  That would take a very long time to get to know that many people.

I wonder how she explains the existence of people like Stefan Molyneux, who is against ALL forms of aggression?

There's no hope, I fear. We have overwhelming disapproval from the 'mainstream' of society; we have the infighting between TG's, TS's, GQ's IS's; we have the splitting up of transsexuals early vs. late; we have transsexuals telling other transsexuals that they aren't transsexuals. And, now we have the radical feminist groups saying that FTM's aren't men; MTF's aren't women and in particular, MTF's are misogynistic pigs of an order worse than that of a "normal straight male" and becoming women just to invade their space?

You know at this rate, that first group - the 'mainstream' of society? They don't need to stand up and say anything at all against us. It seems every element of the LGBTTQI etc., etc. is doing a damn fine job of relegating us all to the trash bin of irrelevance.

I am tiring of hearing the same rhetoric being regurgitated by these radical feminists and the ilk about trans-folk. Don't any of them have anything new to say? How about speaking from some facts or actual knowledge instead of just mechanically parroting the same tired diatribe?  "Those evil MEN are coming to get us WOMYN-BORN-WOMYN".... Seriously?

What do I think the real problem is? They see what they perceive as men who can be prettier girls than they are and it PISSES THEM OFF no end, triggering their own internalized self-hatred at not being able to fit the "stereotypical male-reinforced gender binary."

Note: I'm not making this a sweeping comment about radical feminists in general, just the ones who keep picking on the trans community because they seem to have some personal axe to grind.

That's not what they are saying at all.  That opinion, at least, is logical.  What they are actually saying is much worse.  What they are saying is that is that transwomen are so obsessed with the male image of women (an image which is inherently negative) that they want to become it.

Surely there is a lot of that going on, but it is much more than that.  Many of these "womyn" admit to being abused, often when they were young.  Look at the frequency in which they talk about topics like abuse and male domination.  Their life is so focused on certain events they have experienced, it is impossible for them to see anything beyond that.  In their minds, ALL men are predators.  They think that all men are "out to get them" despite the reality that very few men are actually interested in raping people.

It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.  Since they are always focused on the negative aspects of men, they are unable to see the positive.  This guarantees that they will be unable to form positive relationships with men in their lives.  In truth, they will always get stuck with jerks, because they don't allow themselves to believe in people who are not jerks.

It's no wonder they are completely obsessed with women.  They have convinced themselves that it is a requirement to be female in order to be a good person.  If you believed that the only good people are women, it would follow that you would hate men just like these lesbians do.
