Hi all,
I have been reading this forum regularly for quite a while now, and finally made up my mind to register. I might not be a very prolific poster, but you never know.
Short history on myself. Started HRT in October 1992, SRS in March 1994. So yes, long time ago. All of this happened at the VU Medical center in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Back then no internet of course. I wish I had this kind of resource back then.
So why join now after all these years? Very briefly, things have changed for me the last few months and I feel the need to talk to/share with people with similar experiences more than in the past. I was on oral estrogen until October last year (2010), when the doctor switched me to transdermal patches. That has made a big difference! I recently read that any woman who is on oral HRT for a while is liable to be androgen deficient. Bingo (I suspect....). Feeling much better, and much more feminine now. Probably with higher testosterone levels! Imagine that.....
Regards, Jane
