so there was something like this on lauras playground, and I thought it was a great idea. I dont know many of you very well, so lets all post 10 (non-trans-related) things about ourselves and get aquainted. I'll start

1. I've got an adorable 2 year-old son
2. I love to sing more than anything.
3. I'm addicted to brightly colored sneakers.
4. I dont care much for organized religion, but I love visiting houses of worship.
5. Batman has always been my favorite superhero, but I read marvel comics.
6. I can beat anyone on any racing game if Im given time to get used to the controls.
7. I'm a huge geek, and spend my saturday nights playing D&D.
8. I like to work with my hands, for me, nothing is as satisfying as building something.
9. I'm a huge GreenBay Packers fan!
10. The Simpsons is my all-time favorite T.V. show.

This is totally off topic, but I just wanted to say I love your cat! He is so handsome! I had a Siamese for 14 years, but we had to put him to sleep because of his old age. I really want another one!

hahaha Thank you sooo much!  He's my pride and joy.  I got him a few years ago for a Christmas present when he was only 8 weeks old.  He's literally my best friend.

 

1. I have four children.  Three who are living and one who passed away
2. I haven't had a pet in over 12 years but I would like another one
3. I act younger than I am to get away with more.
4. Writing is my outlet in so many ways.  I often feel completely drained when I'm finished with a piece.
5. I wear skecher shape ups and I'm amazed at how many complete strangers ask me about them.
6. I have two tattoos.  A rose on my stomach and a butterfly on my knee.  When I have extra money I'm getting rid of the butterfly.
7. I get upset when people misjudge me even if I haven't given them reason to think otherwise.

9. I recently got a job as a set designer and I'm really having fun with it.

4. I've RP'ed on forums since I was 10, including a Harry Potter themed board. (ironic for the fact people often say that I look like Harry Potter)
5. I play Magic: The Gathering.
6. I competitively battle Pokemon, a good friend is even a Pokemon Professor.
7. Food Network is my favorite TV channel.
8. I know how to solve a Rubix Cube, in less then 5 minutes.
9. Running is my favorite "get away" drug of choice.
10. My deep love for medicine, horribly inaccurate medical dramas (I watched ER when I was 4, up until I was 14 or so), and science has led toward seeking a degree in the medical profession.

This is interesting...in my usual fashion, I seem to have typed quite a bit here.

1.) I'm a big automotive freak. Two of my favorite makes are Mercedes-Benz and Porsche, and I also love classics; there's a few makes that I don't like at all and for absolutely no reason, which includes Toyota and Lexus, Hyundai, and Kia.
2.) Not only that, but I love to drive, too. I hope that if we have a future ahead of us where the driver is taken out of the equation and automotives no longer have style or sex-appeal, or a beautiful rev to them, that I don't live to see such a thing.
3.) I really love working with my hands, especially taking things apart and putting things together (even so far as taking things apart just to see if I can put them back together and still have them work properly).
4.) I really enjoy learning about other cultures and countries, just about any aspect of them, including their foods. I also like history.
5.) I'm working on learning German and Russian, and to an extent Spanish as well. I took three years of French in school and hardly learned a thing.
6.) I love being outside hiking, camping, four-wheeling -- all sorts of things. I wish I had more opportunities to do so.
7.) There's a lot of movies I'd really like to see, but I rarely actually make an effort to see the movies I want to.
8.) I'm actually a really private person. Even with people I know well and have known for a while. It's rare that I truly share things that I feel are personal or more private. Even on Facebook most of my statuses are just completely random and/or superficial things.
9.) I love paranormal-based Tv shows, as well as  criminal-based (Criminal Minds, Law & Orders, NCIS). I also love Archer, House, Top Gear, and Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations.
10.) Music helps me deal with life and helps keep me focused; I listen to everything from metal and industrial, hard and classic rock, rap, jazz and swing, blues, classical, even some country. I also like foreign music (Rammstein and a Russian band called Pilot are amongst my absolute favorites). Songs about sex really amuse me.

1.) I survived 20 years in the military.
2.) I really enjoy sci-fi and comedy.
3.) I was the first goalie for the Bahrain National Hockey team.
4.) I build costumes for conventions when not drowning in homework.
5.) I play MMOs (currently only Rift)
6.) Got my 15-minutes of fame (Andy Warhol reference) as an extra in Mel Gibson's movie "Man without a Face."
7.) I LOVE cake (with sweet cream icing, none of that whipped junk)
8.) I have traveled all the way around the world.
9.) I have had a few constants in my life I can't live without: girlfriend, dog, motorcycle and jeep.
10.) I'm British/American

This is a nice change.

1. I'm a dreamer. No matter where I am, or who I'm with, I have a hard time connecting with reality and leaving my inner world.
2. I live to see others smile, which is why no matter how down I am, I almost always am trying to make others laugh.
3. I want nothing more than to be a boyfriend, and a father.
4. If I didn't have art I would no longer exist in this world. Art is how I cope with sadness and anger, and what helps me better appreciate happiness and contentment.
5. I spent a lot of my childhood living as a child, and not wanting to let go, I still have trouble letting go.
6. I have so many things I want to do in life that I can't find one career I'd be happy with.
7. I love hiking, and would love to do so every day.
8. I am incredibly interested in how things are made.
9. I'm a romantic, maybe I don't say romantic things, but I believe in letting actions speak for me.
10. I prefer salty to sweet things.

@ Ryan: VAST! Awesome, next to nobody has heard the awesomeness of Jon Crosby, that I know of. And Nobuo Uematsu is an amazing composer, best game OST around was ffVII's imo.

1. At my core I'm hopelessly optimistic. I try to cover it up with layers of pessimism, but really, I always jump to good conclusions when presented with new situations. I'm happy that that hasn't been broken in me yet, so I doubt it ever will be
2. Music is life to me, I play guitar, bass, keyboard and have always wanted to play drums, plus I collect weird instruments.
3. In accordance to 2, I'd rather lose my eyesight than my hearing- I couldn't live without being able to hear.
4. If I was a Sim in Sims 2, my life aspiration would be "Family". All I want to do is share my life with someone, and despite every marriage around me and those on TV / in the media, I still believe for me there is someone and that a life long partnership can work.
5. I've wanted a cat for ages and now my friend has one, I love it to bits, we're going to kind of share it and this is an awesome development!
6. I have a gaming addiction, and was addicted to the escapism- I often run away from problems. I wasted a lot of my life playing an mmorpg called Everquest and then a free emulator of that called Shards of Dalaya. With a lot of willpower I stopped playing, but I get sucked in to games very easily.
7. I'm almost always the first person to say sorry in an argument, I've become very good at apologising
8. I like to socialise, and I'm happy being with people- but I can also enjoy being alone just as much, I like a balance of the two
9. I'm addicted to Haribo strawbs (this time I'm actually not being srs) but seriously these things are amazing
10. I have recently fallen in love with bike riding. I don't mind going on any errand, don't mind the distance or the weather; as long as I am on my bike I am happy.

Can I play? ^.^ I notice that I keep ending up in topics that are in the FTM Forum and I feel like I'm, invading, lolz

1.) I love all music except country, screamo, and hippy music from the 60's. That includes music not in English.

This is fun!

1. I have fourteen tattoos. One is actually a tattoo of the library building I used to work at. It was the best job ever and I was so sad when it was closed down.

2. I have two cats and a rabbit. They each have their own "voice" I made up and make them "say" silly things to me with it.

3. My favorite band is Bloc Party.

4. I wanted to be a police officer or prison guard so I went to school for criminal justice. After years of trying, I can't pass the psychological evaluations (I personally think it's because I'm trans....as I am very "sound" in real life...work ft...go to school ft...) so I've given up and am working on my Bachelor's in Legal Studies. I plan on going to law school to get my Master's.

5. I rarely ever drink alcohol but when I do it's Captain and Coke. It was the first drink I've ever ordered and I've never strayed.

6. I love food. Like...I know a lot of people like food. But I LOVE food. It's almost gross. 

7. I think hip hop/ breakdancing is the coolest thing ever.

8. I love getting the mail. It's never anything exciting....but I still love getting it.

9. I cried tears of joy for the first time in my life when the movie "The Dark Knight" came out because I was so damn excited, lol.

10. I love going to the movies by myself. I try to go as often as time allows (once a week or every other at least).

1. I have a bad habit of cracking my finger and toe joints a lot (like cracking your knuckles, except you crack your joints).

2. I've been playing tabletop rpgs since I was 5 or 6 years old, with my father as the game master.

3. I find Art Nouveau very beautiful and one of my many dreams is to live an Art Nouveau life (with everything from wall sockets to windowframes done in the Art Nouveau style).

4. The sound of someone writing on a computer keyboard is comforting and sleep-inducing for me, I also like flicking fluorescent lights on and off just to listen to the little noises they make when powering up (I hate the light they create, but the noises are cool, every light has its own noise).

5. I'd like to consider myself a Goth, but I'm dreadfully unstylish and just enjoy the music.

6. The smell that some old books can have (a slightly sweet smell) is one of the most wonderful smells in the world, it invokes feelings of safety and comfort. If someone were to make a perfume/soap/whatever with that scent, I'd buy 100 bottles of it.

7. I have a cute pet lizard, she's a leopard gecko and I got her when I was 9, so she's an old lady by now.

8. Among my large amount of stuffed animals, I have a bat, a spider, two dinosaurs (one ceratosaur and the other is an unidentifiable creature with a long neck), a lemur, a bushbaby and a tiny dragon I've sown myself.

9. When I was younger, I was obsessed with ants, and pretty much saw the world through an "ant filter" (I related everything to ants, such as "There's mushrooms for dinner. A species of ants grow mushrooms which they feed to the ant larvae.").

10. I'm a bit like Marty McFly when it comes to challenges and dares; I can't back down, I have to do it (no matter how stupid it is).

• I'm that much of a gaming geek, I have an ever-growing collection of VG remixes and OSTs that are free to download
• I went through music college some years ago, where I learned the drums and the art of computer sequencing
• I like to build computers from the case up
• As well as VG music, I like European metal bands like Nightwish, Within Temptation and others that the UK aren't so familiar with
• On that note, my screen name is from a Nightwish song called Nemo - not the Disney film
• I learned classical singing - as a female, so at some point I'd like to re-learn as a guy
• I currently house-share with two other guys - one of which is leaving at the end of July
• I used to have a couple of cats during my time living with Mum (one at a time), and would love to own another at some point

1. I have four birds, and have never not had at least one bird since i was born.
2. I love swimming, and could do it for hours. I go to the lake or the ocean on almost all my days off in the summer.
3. Im addicted to playing family feud. Jeopardy is my favorite game show to watch though.

6. I have a huge fear of tornados and Mass just got one last week. Now every thunderstorm we get, i think a tornado is going to come.
