I have started living as a woman not 24/7 but a few days here and there. I am awaiting next semester of college to go 24/7 and I was wondering if there are anytips to hide my penis. Depending on the clothes I wear there is a protrusion. Does a cup work, or is there some other trick I may not know. Any and all help is appreciated

They call it tucking. I never tried it and it looks hard to do effectively, but here is the "general method". You need medical tape:

-Shave/epilate the whole area.
-Push up the testes (there's a "path" towards the inside that they can follow until they are hidden without hurting) and tape them there.
-Pull the penis down over the pushed-in testes, towards the butt, and tape it there.

This, if done correctly, should theorically allow you to be seen even in underwear without question unless very close inspection is performed. However, it does require daily shaving or epilating. Shaving there every day is very hard (well, I personally could never do it more often than once a week, partly because of the time it takes, but also because my skin would tear up from so much irritation), and I don't even know if it's possible to epilate this area in "men".

Go buy a gaff, it's just thong panties with a tough smooth front... you wear them under your normal panties.
I was never able to tuck because I seem to have larger than average parts down there... so, I bought a gaff and just started wearing it to smooth things out.  However, the gaff is so tight that eventually it started to push my balls into my testicular cavity.  Now it's very easy to tuck, and now when I wear a gaff it pretty much pushes everything up in place without me having to do anything, whereas before it was nearly impossible to get things up there.

you can buy a gaff :) smtg like http://www.transgendered.net/gaff.html . you certainly need it when you're out of the house. for me it's like a protection belt :D

i'm not too sure abt others but i don't really enjoy tucking, though i do it sometimes in the event i need to put on a bathing suit. in my privacy i tend to go without my gaff too.

Yeah, a gaff seems to do okay, the tucking thing is just impossible for me as it stands, maybe once on HRT it will become possible with the reduction in volume of those things.
15 years on Susans, where has all the time gone?

yes, gaffs certainly do wonders :)

I advise against gaffs, unless your like 8" or larger. Gaffs are very tight, and uncomfortable; and frankly, overpriced... Tucking is very simple, and very easy. It's not complicated and after a little bit of practice it can remain comfortable.

I hate my "unfortunate equipment", so I stay tucked 24/7, even while sleeping. I am going to post, yet again, my tucking technique. It's from an old thread, but I'll repost it here for you. Hopefully this will help you.

_______________________________________________________________________

QuoteI am also Pre-HRT (But not for long). It takes practice. And after a while you'll get used to the fondling and no longer become aroused. It took me a couple of months to get the technique down. But now that I have it down, I can tuck (comfortably) and even get away with wearing a bikini with no bulge in just a matter of seconds. I also stay tucked 24/7, regardless of clothing choice.

For a while I was trying to do it while laying down. Big mistake. By the time you get it all situated, it gets very hard to put on the panties when your lying down. So give up on that method. The method I use I've named "Toilet Tucking", sounds gross but it works really well. I'm sure someone else came up with it before me, but since I discovered it on my own, I am going to take credit for it.

Before I start there are a couple of things to think about. Where you are tucking your testies up into is called the inguinal canal. The testes have a tendency to reascend back up into the inguinal canal when you are very cold or having intense sexual intercourse. While this may happen, it is still very rare. The inguinal canal can shrink slightly, making it harder for the testes to stay in place. After a couple of weeks of moving the testes in and out as well as keeping them in place, it can become far easier to move them in and keep them in.

6-Step "Toilet Tucking" Process

  • 1: Sit on the toilet like you normally would to take care of business. Keep your panties just above your knee, and let the "parts" dangle as they may.
  • 2: Put your legs firmly together. The "parts" should be squished between your legs. And very little should be visible at this point.
  • 3: Stand up. By this point the "parts" should be pretty much tucked between your legs, except with the 2 rocks have not yet reascended into the inguinal canal.
  • 4: To get them to reascend, simply wiggle around a little bit and try to push them up with your legs (or thighs). This might hurt the first couple of times, but once you get the technique down, it doesn't hurt anymore.
  • 5: After that, pull up the underwear to lock it all in place.
  • 6: To allow it to remain comfortable for hours, reach around back (over your butt), and pull the scrotal skin back over your butt (no joke). Perhaps squat a little bit to get a more thorough "pull-through" of the scrotal skin. It's a weird sensation, but you get used to it.

If you don't pull the skin back it may get caught in the underwear, between the underwear and the legs and start to pinch; after a while it can cause some fairly excruciating pain. I wear fairly tight underwear that is designed for a woman exactly my size, so given that I have those annoying extra parts, they are quite tight. You need them a little tight like that to keep it all secure. And if you tuck properly you will absolutely remain comfortable.

Another tip is to not lean on anything from the front. For instance, when I cook dinner, I have a tendency to lean against the counter from my front. And since my "boys" are right there, I end up smashing them in, and it hurts like holy hell. After a while you don't do it anymore and you don't think about it; but if you do start to tuck more frequently keep that in mind.

I've tried all different types of underwear and here is my experience with the different styles as far as Comfort and Function.

Do use:

  • Bikini Style
These are great all around. They hold everything in place, and remain comfortable.
  • High Cut Style
Another fantastic style. Hold everything in place, and because it rides up higher it may help hold the underwear up. The extra pressures from below encourages the underwear to slip down slightly.
  • Stretch Cotton
Make sure you buy any of the above style in stretch cotton, because it holds tight. While in standard cotton the threads tend to stretch and it loses it's ability to hold.

Don't Use:

  • Boy Shorts
While comfortable at first, I found that my parts tend to jiggle out of the sides of the underwear very frequently. I love boy shorts, but I recommend against using them.
  • Hipster (Maybe)
This style may or may not work. They are sort of low, and they may slide down a bit to easy. I don't encourage many people to use these.
  • Thongs
I don't think this really needs explaining. Plus they are just kind of uncomfortable anyway.
  • Plain Cotton
Like I mentioned above. Standard cotton underwear stretches to much, and ends up losing the ability to hold everything secure.

I don't buy underwear in packs. Like if you go to walmart or target and you can buy a 5 pack of hanes underwear. In just a matter of minutes they will stretch and lose the ability to hold everything in place and they'll stay that way until you wash them where they shrink back down. The stuff I buy is a little bit more expensive and off the rack (usually hanging up in packs of 3). They are still cotton, but more stretchy (like spandex) and hold things far better.

Don't use the "boy shorts" style of panties. In all of my experience, my bits tend to slip out. I really love boy shorts, the way the look and their comfort, but they just don't function. I have tried a butt load of different types too.

Surprisingly, I don't buy or have ever tried a gaff. I thought about it, but I don't feel the need to use one. Thankfully, I was not "endowed" with anything special; and I've gotten my technique down to such a degree that I don't think I'll ever need one.

If you have any questions regarding my method, let me know. I'll be happy to answer. :icon_boxing:

gaffs for me are much more comfortable than normal tucking for some reason

I don't really understand how Samantharz's technique can work / be comforttable / stay put when moving or running. Isn't it just basically "putting everything back"
and putting underwear on top of it? No tape, even. Plus it's obvious you need to do it again and again each time you go to the washroom. Or did I misunderstand?

Anyhow, when I start going out as a girl, this is definitely going to be a problem. I guess I'll have to buy a gaff.

It works extremely well for me, and stays comfortable without any issues. I don't have any problems walking around with it tucked either.

Yes you need to do it each time you use the restroom, but it only takes about 5 seconds to redo, 7 seconds if I want to take extra care.

Just put your legs together, pull up the underwear, reach around back and give a little tug on the scrotum to pull it back, adjust a tiny bit then your good to go.

There is a reason tucking is more widely used that gaffs. Really, because it -does- work. The use of tape is actually called "taping", and is a different form; and the reason this isn't used as much is because it is also uncomfortable.

Thank you for the disambiguation about taping and tucking.

I may be doing it wrong, but when I tried today, as soon as I made a movement (spread legs, squat, run, jump or even walk...) it either hurt or undid itself. I don't have the most appropriate
underwear (I'm still using men's; tight men's though), but shouldn't it work at least a little even so? I even had to consciously push my knees together all the time or
it just slid back to the front...

I'll say this much... tucking is rather difficult when you've got a 2" gap between the tops of your legs. :(  Absolutely nothing stays in place for long unless you use incredibly tight underwear that pinches everything with even the smallest of movements.  I've not found any way around this yet, but the serious pain is quite the motivator for saving for SRS.

I never had any success getting the twins up into their canals and never did try using a gaff, but one thing that worked for me was loose clothes & tight underwear.

I use Samantharz's methob and wear a G-string (thong) a couple of sizes too small over my bikini undies for extra security. Now that shrinkage has taken place it is much more comfortable.

I concur with A's advice.........however, you can do this without tape.  Purchase some G-strings as that will keep it tucked neatly away! :)

I uh... Have just passed the step of buying woman's pants. Let's leave the panties for later, 'kay? (Pretty embarrassing indeed for a "guy"
to walk into a shop and ask for women's stuff, especially underwear. It screams "pervert".)

So about the panties... if I wear a size 7/8 in jeans and they fit snug, would a 6 work for keeping things in place?  Because right now, I use cut off pantyhose and it HURTS!!  I know that's most likely too vague a question, but in general, might it work out?

Try a panty girdle, OK not very sexy but very comfortable and it keeps the junk well hidden

A gaff is my friend.. And a point I'd like to make here - not everyone is physically capable of tucking.. You cannot push a teste in to the inguinal canal if the teste is larger than the opening of the canal.

Due to a badly done bilateral hydrocele repair that was done when I was a teen, I have just this problem..

Despite only finally accepting myself and coming out about a year ago, I've been buying girls/women's clothes since I was 12. Not once have I gotten an odd look or any kind of comment.. When I was young, looking embarrassed kept me out of trouble.. When I got older, it was assumed I was buying for a SO..
