In attempt to gather all the info I can about the hysto procedure, I was wondering if anyone had any resources as far as if any parts that are taken during the process can be donated to a bio female struggling with pregnancy. Before outing myself as ftm and willing to donate, I wanted to get all the facts straight. No point in getting a couple's hopes up especially if it cannot be done.

  Any organs for research, but the reproductive stuff, not for another person unless he or she is an identical twin.  There's more rejection issues with those reproductive organs than the others.  I remember a man got a testicle from his twin brother and woman got an ovary from her twin sister, for hormonal reasons.  I don't remember if either case produced a child.

I have often thought that there should be a TS organ exchange.  However, the longest recorded uterine transplant lasted for ten months on a heavy anti-rejection regimine, that would have effected fetal development.  And, that was with an ideal donor (close relative).  They're just not there yet, but with stemcell research, who knows..?

Hmmm...well that doesn't sound promising    ...and from the responses I've gotten from a couple transplant centers, it doesn't seem possible. Oh well, I tried.

I know that eggs can be extracted and used, but like people said it really doesn't work to transplant the whole ovum. 

In Israel a mother gave her womb to her daughter a while ago, which is the same womb she grew and got birth from.

Anyway soon enough we won't have rejection problems thanks to new engineering technologies, two methods had been developed recently one is stem cell delivery which makes the new organ identified as your own and the other is via gene therapy where a harmless virus transfers the genes that make it identify as your body part.

You can also donate sperm but I don't think that is what the PO wanted.
I the case of the Israeli woman who had her mother uterus transplanted,
and I have not heard of it before (which is not implying anything)  the daughter would have a vagina, and ova and female hormonal system already present.
We woman do not have the triggers for the full hormonal pregnancy system to go through pregnancy.  I think that FtM  are in the same situation.

I started to build an interesting argument about in vitro fertilisation and woman and men who do not have secondary sex organs of their gender  (WMDNHSSOTG, Ahmm WHDthogs for short? Love labels) (etc. But I will drop it.
If people are interested as a thread let me know and I will put some thoughts together. But it has to be an educational informational and discussion thread
