Testosterone is Unfair (pointless post alert)

I'm looking forward to getting my testosterone suppressants - if this thread is anything to go by, it'll mean I'll pick less fights ;D. I think we all (including Magickbear) agree that there's no actual cheating involved, and anyway, he was responding to an already jokey thread title - chill :).

Haha, this makes me all excited for being on T, as if I wasn't already!
However you know, is it true women are ACTUALLY weaker or is it that their strengths lie elsewhere?

I can't do a pull up for the life of me, and I work out now, but when I started weight training class in school before any training, I could go up to 400 lbs on the leg press, NONE of my male peers could do that. In fact a few other female friends could lift quite a bit there. And that is long before T, and with no training whatsoever haha. I don't really know much about it but I have heard women tend to have more strength in their legs naturally? Maybe just hearsay (for me it runs in the family I think, my mom and grandma both have a lot of muscle/strength in their legs :] )

I don't really believe men are 'better' but I still am one in mind and hopefully soon body. I highly respect both men and women, and they seem very evenly balanced to me. Where some men typically lack something some women typically seem to gain it, but that doesn't really speak for everyone of course.

It is REALLY cool though, what changes when you go on T, or going on HRT at all, pretty amazing. I probably will really miss some things, but I'm pretty sure whatever they are will be totally taken over by all the changes I'm EPICLY grateful for haha.

i have heard that women have more lower body strength. i've actually mentioned it on here before, but everyone just said "no, men are stronger in all parts of their body." i think women have pretty strong thighs. if you notice women seem to be the best ones at gymnastics, figure skating. those require alot of lower body strength. also, i would also imagine women have their wider hips and strong thighs for pregnancy and childbirth reasons.

Yeah girls do have strong legs. I'm pre-t and I have really strong muscles but my arms are sticks and pretty useless at lifting. I need to work out lol XD

Well I don't know about you guys but since starting T my legs are stronger/more muscular.

I don't see what was so offensive about Magickbear's original comment, I kind of feel the same, in a joking way.  When you've been trying really hard to build muscle and lose the last extra body fat for a year, with minimal results and could never manage an unassisted chin-up, then after 2 and a half months on T decide out of curiosity to tackle that pull-up bar again and much to your surprise, your feet come off the ground and your eyes are going over that bar, it rather does feel like cheating.   If we'd been born in the right bodies we'd have been able to do that, yes.  The way I see it, I got cheated out of the right hormones, so Ima 'cheat' right back and do my pull-ups I didn't really work for, ha.
