Just curious about my newest theory. I've been diagnosed as naturally producing way too much testosterone for a natural born female and years ago was prescribed estrogen. The estrogen made me feel like a blithering mess, like I was actually losing my frigging mind so I told my doctor and stopped taking the hormone. She even commented at the time that she had never heard of anyone responding this way.
What, if any, are your thoughts on this and how it relates to my feeling of so/so identifying with both genders?

Can't really comment about the way estrogen affects you, but it doesn't sound like much fun.

As far as too much testosterone, if one subscribes to the hormonal wash theory of why transgender people are trans,
then that makes some sense. 

I suppose it could even be some form of Intersex development.

Let's let the folks way smarter than me make their comments.  I gave up trying to figure out why I was an androgyne.  I just am.

just wondering, chermarie, which is longer of your ring finger and index finger. that is, which reaches further up on the middle finger when you hold them straight against each other? they say higher than average testosterone levels (before your birth) will make your ring finger longer, is it true for you?

Yep my ring finger is about half an inch longer than my index. This is a great party trick! : )

Years ago, my androgynous partner was put on estrogen to battle endometriosis-- too high a dose of estrogen. She was hit that way too.

Your doctor's comment surprises me-- when your hormone levels bounce around during perimenopause, you think you're going crazy.

I know it made me feel bat->-bleeped-<- crazy!

Polycystic ovarian syndrom and/or suprareanl gland tumor have to be ruled out

For me it was bc of the poly o syndrome, which I still have. However,  it seems that hormones play so much into personality that I'd hate to be "cured" and turn back into that crazy crying uber sensitive mess that the estrogen pills made me. No thanks!
