Yesterday I finally went out as a woman, it was at first the most terrifying event of my life. However it quickly turned into the single most amazing moment of my life.
I was addressed as maam, and since I was with  my girlfriend we were refered to as ladies. For the first time in my life I felt comfortable outside. My girlfriend thought it was the cutest thing she had
ever seen, what started out as me being nervous and skittish ended up with me being 100% confident. When the clerk looked at my girlfriend and myself and said "Ladies is there anything I can help you with"
I almost squealed for joy.

Oh Ceridwynn,
That is great. I am so happy for you.
And thanks for reminding me about my first outing.
My first time out I was all alone and terrified.
And then when I realized I was accepted at the womenI was so happy.
I could hardly wait to go out again.
Hugs,
Jilllieann

Congrats on first "ma'am" :D

That is always amazing.
Mine was like that too-terribly scared- then really really happy

It's such a rush, isn't it? ;D  Congratulations on your successful outing!

The second time I ever got the "ladies" bit was when I was out with my mom and stepdad, and I think my mom was floored.  They didn't come to grips with my name/pronouns until this past week when my name change became official and I showed them the court order.  But I'll tell you this much: after three months being full time, I still get a rush every time someone nails those pronouns!

Yeah, I've heard it actually NEVER gets old. I know that even thought I don't expect anything different, it feels so good when it happens.
and i know that i'm never alone
and i know that my heart is my home
Every missing piece of me
I can find in a melody

I know! It feels amazing doesn't it?! You can be relieved to know that even 7 months into full time it STILL doesn't get dull.
