Not sure what I am frankly. I love to wear woman's clothing yet I'm only attracted to women but at the same time I feel dirty (bad) when I touch myself. Taking a shower is horrible. Something isn't right. My mother is a lesbian for the last 30 years of my life (I'm 34) and she say's something is wrong. She tell's me I am either a man that likes women or likes men but I can not be a women , in a mans body, that likes women. WTF? Is it possible I am a lesbian in a mans body? That just sounds stupid like my mother says but I'm not a man, at least don't feel like one....just born one?

Rather or not you are trans will have nothing to do with rather or not you are sexually attracted to women or men. There are plenty of male to female trans women who are lesbians. It is a common misconception that the two are related to each other but they are not. There are tons of information sites and books out there that can help you explain this to your mother, rather or not she will listen is a whole other game. I'm sure there is some material that can be found easily from other posters and in our resources here.

Why not?  I am! Lots of other trans-dykes on here too! Sexuality and gender are two totally different things. You can be transsexual and straight, bi, gay, or even asexual. 

Also a lot of us seem to change with transition. Whether it is due to hormones reconfiguring the brain, or the freeing of ones personality from previous inhibitions is uncertain. A transsexual woman is just another sort of woman, like rich/poor, black/white, tall/short,fat/thin.  Nobody is unable to be a lesbian because they are too tall.

Having tried a relationship with a bloke, I have to say that although it was pleasant at the time, I now have no desire to repeat the experience.  From shortly before I started HRT, and began living as a woman  full-time, I now find the idea of sex with a man to  be incomprehensible.  Sort of like  overnight forgetting a foreign language totally, after being fluent. You know you did it, but can't work out how.

I have come to the conclusion that there are as many forms of sexuality as there are people on the planet. As long as it is consensual, between two adults, and no-one gets hurt, who cares.

Hey, don't worry, for the last 20 years I had relationships with woman.
So if I can, why shouldn't you?
Don't listen to what your mom says, everybody has an opinion, this is her's opinion, but an opinion is not always the truth.
If you're feeling a woman and attractive to woman you're possible a lesbian trapped in a man's body.
