Casey I went through this. They do not care. Just do it. I have two earrings in each ear and no one has said boo. You worry more than they do.

Be a girl, come on have your ears pierced, what could be the problem. Why not go ahead & have 2-3 holes in be best places for your ears. You will feel so much better.

Not to gross you out, but I do my own piercing. Marker, sharp straight meat fork and honey I AM IN CONTROL.
Had a small curtain-rail (3 each side) for a while and the decided is was a bit too young for my me. I even had stretchers to 4mm holes, still in boy-mode but let all shrink (like an non-dilated vag. hee-hee) and now am having just 2 conservative small holes for studs etc.

Now if you do not pass well, I think earrings make little difference if not negative. Like big hoops, long dangly goodies looking very femme and actually rather contradiction the rest of your presentation. NO GOOD IMHO.
I do pass reasonably but long dangly things can quickly look over top and bang, you get clocked actually more easily.

In closing my long term girl friend let her ear holes grow close as she decide no jewellery for her anymore. Very plane Jane but her desion entirely.
I change my studs (mostly) to my outfits and love pearls the best. Wear them day and night :-)
