The "->-bleeped-<-" movie that the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation tried to get banned from New York's Tribeca Film Festival airs on Showtime throughout July.

The network says of the film, Ticked-Off ->-bleeped-<-s with Knives, "A group of vengeful '->-bleeped-<-s' learn martial arts and seek bone-crushing revenge on the dim-witted thugs that assaulted one of their own in this violent, gleefully trashy homage to 1970s exploitation flicks."

GLAAD campaigned against the movie in early 2010, demanding that it "be pulled" from Tribeca's lineup.
"Be yourself; everyone else is already taken." Oscar Wilde

I saw that movie. It wasn't offensive, but it was stupid.

Really.  I watched Birth of a Nation a few weeks ago and still haven't joined the Klan.

as have been MOST of the campy attempts to mock the 70's stuff...but some people just have to create issues in order to get some press and generate the faux outrage, which is what we see with the article in question.

I don't see how you could make an homage to those movies that wasn't stupid, as the originals were not exactly Einstein territory.
