Hi Cindi:

Kids (and our pets) have a way to bring us to our knees (I've said that to you before). When our Callie (the calico cat) didn't come home one morning we were frantic.  We were living in the country and all manner of horrible thoughts were going through our heads.  When we did find her, one leg was horribly mangled and had to be amputated.  Though we were so upset and worried the vet assured us that all would be okay.  And she was right.  Callie now has a knick name of tri-pod, and she still rules the roost.  She's a bossy thing and always gets her own way.

We're so glad that your neighbour let you know what had happened and that Cindi is now home with you recovering.  Yup she is probably all groggy from the surgery and it will take awhile to be her old self again.  Mother her like we know only you can.

Hugs to you and Cindi.

Gill and Steph.

Oh, Cindi!

I'm glad things seem to be OK now.  I'm such an absolute idiot for animals, especially my puppies.  So I can just imagine what you were going through.

Glad for the good report.  Give her a bowl of Science Diet and a Milk Bone from us!  She'll be in no time at all.

Tink took the best prayer, so I thought I would send this one along:
"Lord, help me to be the person my dog thinks I am."

Cindi, my heart goes out to you. OMG, I can't imagine that, I would be in pieces. I'm hoping everything will be ok for your little one. I will pray for her. They are not just pets, they are family. Been there done that and I still cry when I think of a loved one dying.

I'm so sorry to hear about your doggie Cindi....

I'm glad that she's doing better....as for feeling bad because she looks so lethargic on morphine keep in mind that she's high as a kite and probably feeling REALLY good even though she doesn't show it :)

Get well soon little Cindi :)

P.S. the title of your thread scared the heck out of me.  I'm a worrier, it's my nature.

She's now home with me, lying at my feet.  She seems so lifeless.  She had been given some morphine but I can see that has worn off.  The doctor said that her prognosis is excellent.  And that makes me happy.... but to see her lying there, breaks my heart.

Awlll, HUGS Cindi. She'll get better, but it takes awhile to get the energy back. She's been through a lot, she's exhausted, healing and drugged. Morphine take awhile... she's gonna be tired for awhile. "her prognosis is excellent" is GREAT to hear.

Cindi, I've only been back on here a few days but I can tell that you are a wonderful and loving person.  I'm sure she knows how much you care for her and that will help pull her through.  Think positive thoughts for her and I will certainly say a prayer for her.

BIG HUG,
Bev

You mean there's two Cindiannas?  We're so sad to read of this trouble.  Sorry to be behind in catching up in my postings.  (Well, that was an interesting phrase.)  Anyway, hopefully by now she is up and about.

Hi Cindi,

I'm very sorry to hear about your dog.   :(  I hope she is doing much better now.  Its really amazing what vets can do to save animals lives today.  My niece was a vet tech for several years before she became a registered nurse and she helped to save many animal's lives.  I still miss my Border Collie Julie who was my best old buddy for the past 16 years and hope to get a new puppy soon.  I had to have Julie put down last year because she was suffering too much from health problems.  I will say a prayer for the both of you and wish your dog a speedy recovery.  Hang in there!   :)

Hugs,

Shannon
