Cindy

 Dear Friends,

I have had many approaches from people about individual problems. Indeed when I was Moding it consumed a lot of my  time.

I'm now retired from staff and have more time to devote to things I like to do.

Some people appear to appreciate my view on their problem.

As ever I'm happy to give an opinion. It is not a professional opinion and there is no legal binding to my comments

If you wish to post to me privately,  as many have, do continue to do so.

I am

Cindy James

Won't you be my neighbor?" - Fred Rogers

I have always liked your posts.  They seem to my reading plain, sincere, and practical.  And you live in the real world, you've been around (in the "good" sense, not the "bad" sense*) and its nice to hear from people on occasion who seem to actually be living on this planet, and not commuting in from beyond Jupiter every day and wondering anew how this planet really works.

And I've always had a real soft spot for the communal and public nature of the WWW.  Secrets and back channel stuff never works and always gets it wrong.  Much better to have that public forum where all can judge.

* - although I always thought the 'bad' manner of 'been around' was actually the best way.  I made sure I had 'been around' in that sense before I started to journey 'round America and the world and 'got around' in that sense too.  (Wow, that sounds like I had some master life plan.  I assure you I did not.)   It helps you find out critical information you might need but no one is ever going to tell you.  For example:  if you sleep with a girl (I like that sleep deal, pretty much the only thing not happening) and you have, or are about to, sleep with her Mom, DO NOT TELL THE GIRL, EVER.  It's fine to tell mom you're banging away (or at least have banged once) at Missy, moms expect that.  But Missy will totally lose touch with reality when she finds out you've been laying pipe on Mom when she's not around.  Interesting (unproven) fact I discovered.  Mom's and daughters frequently have the same kink, or come in around the same fetishes.  Perhaps it's hereditary.

I like that you care and don't boast about your grandiose adventures. I wish i could be more helpful and less confused about trying to make friends. I think i try too hard and it gets me in trouble. Thanks for being there and being sane yet not being proud. I guess the world comes in many sizes but your size seems to be well received all around. Thats a blessing as i am sure you know. hugs

PS: When you were a Mod you were the only one i wrote when i had an issue with someone. I just felt comfortable reaching out to you since i saw your postings

None of us are professionals (at least I don't think) and we're all just voicing our opinions.  It's just your opinions are so damn good!

It's just your opinions are so damn good!

My major professor was real fond of telling people that all 'genius' or 'revolutionary thinkers' or 'major inventors/innovators' were just people who put into words or design what everyone was already thinking.  It's like most people know about Thomas Edison and him 'inventing' all that stuff, but he was just first (and on a few of them just first to the patent office to file) among a group of people all working on trying to solve the same problems.  That there was a collective need that these people were looking to fill.  Cindy is a nice reflection of our 'collective need and collective reality.'  First she's not British, and second she's not one of god's chosen people residing in the greatest most awesomest nation in all history ever, so she's not burdened with that either.  And though AussieLand is in theory a 'Euro' nation, it's a lot like Cali in that though the underlying culture is West, the atmosphere is pure East and it's so nice to get out of that Eurocentric mind-set that both Europeans and people living on the East Coast of America (offer not valid in Florida) seem permeated/contaminated with.  (OK, I'll list two. 1. That Christianity is the central core religion almost completely absent (until recently) any other and all other religions.  2.  That

And she is - like a couple of us are - oh what band was that Shade's quote from?  It was one of those keyboard dependent bands Shades likes so much, but the quote was: Not a king nor a queen but something in between.  She's not quite a TS, and CD does not seem to cover it.  I kind of like that.

She's also responsible and reasonable, two things in short supply in this (AND EVERY OTHER) community in our time.  I respect responsibility because I know how high the cost is to achieve it.

Glad I live in Florida then Tekla! lol.

Cindy is awesome. I have had the occasion to speak to her personally once and she was a great help. She called me "normal" which is high praise indeed! lol. I also know others who hold her opinion in high regard and have relied on her for advice and guidance.
and i know that i'm never alone
