A GG friend of mine asked to see video of what I used to look and sound like before. Based on what I look and sound like now, she had a hard time imagining how I "got away" with presenting as a boy before. The only such video I took with me was my wedding video, so here it is:

General consensus seems to be I looked and sounded an awful lot like a drag king. :D Also that I still had feminine aspects and features before transition. I guess it is all a matter of expectation. We see what we expect to see. I do know that he was very blasé in the video in what should have been one of the happiest days of his life. So very sad.
and i know that i'm never alone
and i know that my heart is my home
Every missing piece of me
I can find in a melody

So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

Ok, tired of all the problems people are having, so I removed it from that thread. So I posted it above. For me, this video isn't even like watching my brother's wedding. It is even more alien than that.

I really don't care. I'm 40. There is just too much crap out there about my previous life. I've even outed myself to people at work that don't know and wouldn't know in a million years. I intend to live my life as publicly as I can and accept the consequences. I hate monitoring myself around people who don't know.

Hi Melody, I too am 40, getting ready to begin my transition. I also have a lot of stuff on the Net, so if anyone wants to dig up my past and out me, go ahead. I'm not going to advertise the facts about my old life, but if anybody asks, I'll tell them the truth. Besides, I'm so excited, about my transition, I've already told everyone I know! :)
Hugs, Mrs. J :)

Good luck hon. I hope you can draw some encouragement from my story. It can be a very hard road, but a life where you are at peace finally is priceless.

question: are u still married?  Not everything has to be neg..Some are complex situations, but they really dont need to be..You do not have to answer..I, myself do not care if ppl know, but i do not broadcast it either.  If you are comfortable in your own skin, then you should not have to worry what others think..I remember my past and it would not be something that i could just throw away, because of transition..

No, I'm no longer married. I came out to her a year ago and she filed for divorce 2 months later.
