LACONIA — Ally Collina, who started out life as a man, says her decision to have sex-change surgery and to live her life as a woman has helped prompt a judge to bar her from having any contact with the two-year-old son of the man who is her fiancé.

Collina stood in front of Laconia District Court this week with a sign protesting what she believes is a biased ruling.

From what is described, it comes across as being more associated with the usual divorce proceedings where one is claiming the other is unfit as a parent due to a variety of poor judgments...and a former CO hooking up with someone WHILE ON THE JOB is NOT a good exercise of judgment.  So the resulting pleading becomes a page straight out of Divorce 101.  The potential spouse-to-be has obviously helped the former spouse significantly by having a varied criminal history.

I don't see the judgment as having ANYTHING to do with being trans-anything.  I see those sorts of pleadings AND holdings all day long in cases between cis-spouses.

I fully agree with what Ann wrote above.  The gender issue here is a total side note to what is really going on.  Never the less, it sells local newspapers, and local newspapers sell their hot stuff to bigger news services.  I fell sorry for the kid.  Dad seems a bit of a loser too.

Wiser now about Post Op reality!!
