As a lot of you probably have, I've been playing video games since I was a kid!
There are so many great games out there, it's hard not to want to play them all!
Some games I love because of the actual gamely and others I like because of the story and visual style. My collection is going to keep growing...
But here are some games that have become a part of my permanent collection:

-Tomb Raider, all the games in the series (Action Adventure, I want to look like her and Angelina Jolie, too, LOL)

-Uncharted (Drake is HOT. I can't wait for the third game to come out in 3D!)

-Mass Effect (Deep and Engrossing Story. I could not put this game down when I started playing it!!)

-Portal (The Cake is a Lie! And the game play will blow your mind!)

-Half life (The physics engine on that game are amazing! It's a very realistic!)

-Gears of War (Nitty gritty/tough and rough guys, mmmm, they look good!)

-Halo (Of course:)

-Kinectimals and Dance Central (For the Kinect 360. These games will provide you with plenty of exercise and wear your out!)

-Flower, Flow (And a lot of other PS3 exclusives)

-FFX &FFXIII (Stunning visuals and amazing stories, all classic and best sellers.)

-Oddworld series (Oldie but goodie)

-Rock Band!!! (I downloaded tons of songs! and I got good enough to play the drums in expert mode!)

-Star Wars KOTOR (Deep Story Lines)

I love my PS3 & Wii .... I like pretty much any game ... I tend to enjoy the adventure games the most

I've been searching for a game better than Perfect Dark for ever yet..... nothing, sure graphics have come along way but for gameplay, guns and atmosphere nothing holds a candle (that I've seen).

Same here, Robert:) Only I don't have the Wii:(

Muffin, I haven't played that game... But it sounds like the kind of game I like! I'll keep it in mind in case I see it :D

Pretty much all I play anymore is Rock Band 3 (on PS3), and occasionally a good RPG that comes out for the PC.  The last of those I played was Dragon Age: Origins and its expansion.  I'm toying with the idea of buying Dragon Age 2, but the reviews were mixed.

I played WoW in the past, somewhat hardcore, but quit over a year ago.  It was definitely my coping mechanism for GID because I completely lost interest once I was on hormones a couple months.  When I quit, I was in the furthest progressed alliance guild on my server and had "the Insane" title.

As for Rock Band, I play the drums on expert without cymbals - mostly cause I haven't seen any that met my standards for missing notes.  I've gotten gold stars on every expert song up through difficulty 4 (with a couple exceptions), 3/4 of the difficulty 5 songs, and maybe 1/3 of the 5 devil songs.

I play a lot of Japanese role playing games (like Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest). I also really enjoy Zelda and Metal Gear Solid.

I would have to say Final Fantasy 7... though I haven't had much of a chance to play a lot of games.

I currently play WoW but I would not even rank that as a game I hold above others. It's just something to do.

Sorry but this is going to be quite a long list:

Guitar Hero & Rock Band games (all of them)
Lost Planet 1 & 2
Devil May Cry 1,3 & 4 (Dante is so damn hot)
Command & Conquer: Kanes wrath
Ace Combat 6 (I'm in the top 100 on the world leaderboards)
IL2 Sturmovik (I love flying a Spitfire whilst listening to Elgar)
GTA (all of them from PS1, PS2, PSP, DS & 360)
Uncharted 1 & 2
Armed & dangerous (nothing beats firing a great white shark at your enemies  >:-))

There's lots of other games I love but these are the top of the list.

Now for my absolute favourite ever, Shadow of the Colossus on PS2, as I scaled the first colossus my heart was pounding, I started plunging my sword into the giants head & at the final strike the mighty beast was toppled & the music changed from dramatic to melancholy & as the beast crumpled in slow motion I experienced an emotion that no game before or since has evoked in me, guilt, that's right I felt guilty for killing this giant creature & my view of the game changed, I was no longer a hero but a terrible heartless villian who would sacrifice any life to return his love to him.
If you havn't played this gem then check it out in a few months when it gets re-released on PS3
