For as long as I could remember (well, since sometime after hitting puberty) I've had these little stubblies on my chin ... little dark hairs that popped out every week or so that I would pluck away. There are only three, two on the left side and one on the right. I used to hate them but I also used to shave every inch of by body.

Anyway, now that I've started shaving (just for personal satisfaction) they come in like, several hours after shaving. Maybe the next day ... I haven't really paid that close attention. Anyway... I noticed I've really taken to stroking me three-hair goatee. I love the feeling of the stubble. It also makes me wonder if this is a sign that after starting T, I will be able to grow in fairly thick, fast-growing facial hair in a reasonably short amount of time?

My brother and dad are both basically gorillas, with stubbly faces and furry chests... What do you guys think? Is it a sign I'll be hairy, do you think it could happen in a matter of a few months?

What are your thoughts on being atrociously hairy? I'm personally not all that excited about body hair but I've always wanted some well-trimmed facial hair...

I'm sure you will enjoy begin a mega hairy man. Honestly I don't mind it myself on a guy the thing is I'm odd and I'm attracted to strange things outside the typical guassian curve of sexual attractiveness so a really hair guy could be a turn on to me. *shrug*

I wonder this too. I have the same thing going on, but my dad is not really hairy, but can grow a nice mustache and possibly a beard.

I have a bunch of random hairs like that on my chin and in the side burn area. I pluck them out because I think it'd just be odd to shave them. I'm not sure whether or not it means I'm gonna be hairy when I get on T, but I think if your family is on the hairy side you can probably expect to have a decent amount of hair.

Genetics play a part in facial and body hair (as well as head hair).  It's possible that a lot will grow quickly, but honestly, it's a bit doubtful.  Puberty doesn't happen over-night, which is essentially what happens on T.

As for my opinion, I love facial and body hair.  I am extremely attracted to gay bears and enjoy my own hair as well.  So I don't find it "atrocious" at all.

Aah I'm probably weary about a lot of body hair because I'm not used to it. I'm sure I'll think differently when it happens. And I know it won't happen overnight, I was thinking along the lines of four-six months as opposed to a year +

     Before T, I had a lot of hair on the chin and above the lip.  So much my mom made me go to electrolysis for the mustache area because she was tired of the bleaching.  I did not go to very many appointments, but the ones she took me to I hated!  I think the cost of it became to much and thats why she quit going.
    4 months on T, I have added about 10-20% more hairs to those areas, but the new hair as a whole has not really been thick or growing fast at all.  I have my next endo appointment in a few weeks and I should have my prescription raised to full level. 
     When you finally start T, just remember it will be gradual, so it is doubtful you would see much hair growth in the first 4-5 months.   I personally would like some sideburns, but so far nothing in that area. 

I think I may be a special case, but I had a full mustache before T, and a decent amount of hair on my chin, though nothing that could pass as a male beard. It was only a month on T before I had sideburns, and by 2-3 months I could grow a full beard. The body hair has come in a little more slowly, but I'm now over 3 years on T and have plentiful hair on my chest, stomach, back... you name it, I've got it. My dad isn't hairy in the least, but my little brother (he's 21) and I now have identical body hair patterns.

I think part of it depends on the age you transition. I'm a bit older and fairly hairy to start with. 4 months on T brought me a goatee, splotches of beard in other places, good long whispy rest of my "beard" that hasn't darkened yet and plenty of other noticeable body hair. I'm guessing I'll have a good 5:00 shadow by 6 months. But many who hit puberty at 13 don't get their full beards until late 20s or early 30s.

Yeah, I'm kind of dreading becoming harrier.  Neither my dad nor my brother are too hairy, so I hope that will be true with me as well.  However, as my brother and I are pretty much the same now I can't help but think I'm going to end up as a yeti.

I don't know squat about T, but I'd assume that if your dad and brothers are furry, you probably will be too. I lucked out, I've got my dad's hair genes it seems. Lots of leg hair, bit of arm hair, not as much face scruff as I'd like and nothing anywhere else. I'm cool with that.
And I'm with you on the tiny-beard stroking, I do it constantly. And everyone thinks it's hilarious, so I do it some more.

Ok so pre-T I could grow a few long black hairs on my chin and some in the mustache area. Also after years of shaving my legs and then stopping around 16 I noticed a change after starting T. My leg hair remained black and course but doubled in number. As, for the facial hair the picture should speak for itself and while I can't grow a full beard I don't think that will be a problem for much longer.



I guess I should note that my mother's side is very hairy, even the women, while my dad's is mostly hairless.

It's sporadic in my family. My grandma and my one aunt had to use hair remover and shave their legs constantly, whereas my mom and my other aunt have like no body hair.

Almost 3 years on T for me and I'm still waiting for my upper lip to change from awkward peach fuzz to bristly thick man hair. Thanks to genetics. 

I'm pre-T and have more chest hair than my boyfriend. We both find that amusing. I am considering buying stock in Gilette for when I go on T.

On a random note, even though I'm pretty much hairless and have the voice of an 8-year-old boy, I somehow pass completely male at work. Weird eh? Man people are gullible.

You look totally manleh in your avatar, so I don't see why not.

This.  It could be a sign that you will be very hairy very fast but you could also languish with little to no hair for a long while. 

I had stubble on both sides of my chin before T. After 11 weeks on T, it seems to grow faster and thicker when I shave (about once or twice a week) and I am getting a tiny bit of mustache. I'm hoping that the middle part of my chin will fill in as well, as I think I would look good with a goatee . I've also got some hair growing on my neck below my face too. I'm hoping to get more facial hair as time goes by, but I am trying to be patient!

It's a combination of genetics and hormone levels that determine how much facial and body hair you have before hormones. I am mostly Irish with a decent chunk of German. A friend of mine who is also trans has similar ancestry and he has similar features to some of my relatives. Pre-T he had thick hair that covered his calves, shins, and a large hairy patch on his outer thighs...as well as a really obvious happy trail (and a few random nipple hairs). Pre-T I had very thin hair on my shins, and that's about it. His body had more testosterone than mine which caused him to be hairier.

My brothers are all fairly hairy and at 8 months I have two dark hairs...one above my lips, and the other on my chin. My sideburns have also grown a bit to the point of being more square shaped than triangle shaped. I shave around once a month.
