Quote from: articleI am not very sympathetic towards people who want to have their cake and eat it too. Becoming a woman or man via surgery and expecting to be legally considered a member of the sex to which one has been reassigned means living with the same set of rules other women and men have to live by. Why should you be an exception?

This article is full of so much FAIL, that I'm not going to respond to it point-by-point. I think everything can be summed up in a few sentences. Why should I be an exception? For the same reason everyone should be an exception. These "rules" that men and women are supposed to live by are completely arbitrary, outdated by several centuries (at the very least), and no longer serve a useful purpose in modern society. Gender roles are HURTING people, and that's why they need to go. Either help us get rid of them entirely, or come up with better ones that actually serve a purpose in modern times.
