I went to Staples this morning for supplies. The woman parked next to me was getting into her car. As I got out of my truck, I noticed she had a flat tire on the passenger side. I walked around her car and approached her door, to let her know. When she noticed me, she got this sheer look of fear on her face and would only crack the door open enough to hear what I said....quickly said thank you, and slapped her door shut. I was getting ready to ask her if she would like me to change the tire for her, but seeing such a look of fear on her face, decided to just go into the store.
I know we sadly live in a fear based society. Which makes me wonder......is being the good samaritan, helping a stranger in need, a thing of the past? Is there any way to know who to trust.....or to let strangers in need, know they can trust us?
It really go to me.
